Your doc might have a point regarding the gut. The causal mechanism might have more to do with metabolism. I really like Dr. Chris Palmer (Harvard Psychiatrist) as an extremely interesting voice on this issue.

I also found the Dr. Shawn Baker Podcast to be interesting, as he’ll often interview normal people who have seen improvement on carnivore/ketogenic diets.

In my own case, I saw massive improvements in mood and mental health after changing my diet.

Have you read Bessel van der Kolk’s ā€œThe Body Keeps the Score?ā€

Fascinating and well researched explanation about how traumatic experiences can become locked into our central nervous system and musculature. It would be right up your alley.

I’m also curious to what extent diet plays a role in chronic pain. A lot of people have healed chronic inflammation through radical elimination diets. The gut-mind connection is very real.

Life is good. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Hey Ben, what app are you using to follow hashtags? I don’t seem to be able to on Damus.

Can’t argue with that logic.

It better have been a meat-lovers pizza.

The exact same thing happened to me for months. I didn’t have many cravings except for pizza. I wonder if it has something to do with the high salt content. My salt intake went way up.

First few weeks can be rough, but I started to notice cognitive benefits and reduced inflammation beginning around week 3. Two years later and still carnivore-ish.

It sounds like this is the soundtrack you need this morning.

Official announcement when that finally happens:

ā€œMicroStrategy has zapped an additional 5,050 satoshis for at an average price of ~$29,827 per #bitcoin. As of 4/12/23 we have zapped 120 Nostr posts. $MSTRā€

An AI bot replied to one of my posts recently. It was annoying because the interaction was unprompted and didn’t add anything of value.

It does make you wonder though. If this tech is available to the masses now, how many years ago did we all start interacting with social media bots controlled by intelligence agencies and governments?

Bitcoin at $30K. Pump it up.

Wishing you all a very Happy Easter today!

Wasn’t Jobs more of a creative type and less of a programmer?

If you like that idea you might also be interested in the speculation that Len Sassaman was Satoshi. He also died around the same time.
