Function stacking is something I think about often. When I saw what Edison Motors is doing with EV/Hybrid semi trucks all I could think about is putting the same thing in a class A RV. In an RV you already have a generator to run the AC and people are adding batteries to extend the time they can be off the grid. In an EV/hybrid setup the batteries would serve double duty and you would only need the one generator to charge and the batteries. You could also call this a plug in hybrid with the right setup. Adding solar to the roof would be icing on the cake. What if you have a large 5th wheel toy hauler? Get you a Hybrid semi with one e-axle now you carry your power with you.

The infrastructure is not there. Some of the smaller Rural Electric Co-op's couldn't even handle if 5% of their customers got an electric vehicle even if they could a lot of homes are wired to the bare minimum and couldn't handle adding the circuit needed for a charger.
Today's recommendation is a whole series of books by John D MacDonald the Travis McGee series https://www.goodreads.com/series/52264-travis-mcgee. I learned about Travis McGee from Mike Rowe. Mike discussed the books in his podcast about how Travis took his retirement a little at a time he would work a big job then retire for a few months before he starts the next one. Mike Rowe decided that he would live this same way big jobs that make good money then retire between them.
I enjoyed the 5 or 6 books that I have read in the Travis McGee series. If you enjoy a good crime drama you should enjoy this series.

The older I get the more I think I want time freedom instead of financial freedom. To do what I want when I want. I negotiated more time off instead of a raise with my boss. 3 weeks vacation plus holidays gives me that needed time off to not be burned out.

Today’s recommendation is an old John Wayne movie called Hellfighters. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellfighters_(film) My dad was a volunteer firefighter so I have seen almost every firefighting movie there is. I have watch Hellfighters multiple times as it was one of the Sunday afternoon movies that came on a local television station. I just thought it was a good movie until one day I read an article about Red Adair https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Adair and found out that the person that John Wayne was portraying was based on a real person. This led me down a rabbit hole to find out more about Red Adair. I found the book Red Adair: An American Hero https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/824912 I really enjoyed this book and Red was a very interesting person.

I will say that VOIP is easier to get set up but man when it doesn't work it doesn't work.
Remember the days when all phone calls were made on copper lines and it was easy to trouble shoot. Now with VOIP there are so many variables it takes multiple engineers to review the problem.
