At this point, a dog is basically carrying the entire team

Things are getting rough during the final few days of the nostr:npub1funq0ywh32faz0sf7xt97japu8uk687tsysj8gndj4ehe825sq4s70gs0p #AI4All hackathon

Here's an update on my team's #BitDevsUpgrade project for the #AI4ALL hackathon.

Loving zap.stream, but wondering if this is where all my follows disappeared to 😂

If it looks like I unfollowed you, it's probably because my following list and relays list got nuked sometime in the past 2 weeks. Not sure when it happened, and too busy to try and see if I can recover it somehow. I blame some Nostr client that must have broadcast something wrong on my behalf. Yay manual re-follow spree.

I got some good initial work done today on my new BitDevs Upgrade project for the AI 4 ALL hackathon: https://bolt.fun/story/kicking-off--866

There’s definitely plenty of chatter about Nostr in the Bitcoin Design Community. There is also a Nostr Design Community.

I agree, we need better solutions. I tend to think we should look beyond Nostr for private DMs. For example, there are other privacy preserving protocols. Just for example, take something like Signal. Couldn't a Nostr DM be used to perform a handshake between two clients so they can then switch over to Signal? Perhaps a client could use Nostr for public-facing messaging, then switch to another protocol for private comms.

Winding down with some IRL sketching. Hippie #bitcoin sticker set incoming?

Back from a great week in Miami. You know what they say: you can get the sand out of your #[1] flip-flops, but you can never get the sand out of your soul.

That may still work for being a nym then. I think that somebody who is truly committed to finding your name will absolutely find your name, but for basic google search defense, being a nym could work.

Um, the first rule of Project Mayhem is you don’t ask questions #[3]

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at #[0] for the #Bitcoin Product and Design Summit. Don't forget to bring your laptop so you can compete in the Designer Duel.

Complexity sometimes gets a bad wrap.

Having a well in the center of the town is far simpler to implement than indoor plumbing, but I wouldn't argue against indoor plumbing.

Lightning network is much more complicated to explain than talking about increasing blocksize, block speed, etc., but I wouldn't argue against lightning.

On the other hand, just being complicated doesn't make something a good solution either.

So having said that, what specifically do you find too complicated to actually work?
