Right. And that is why I call it the point of no return. It is the event horizon. We might orbit the singularity, but that is where we will ultimately be headed. It is the financial version of this:

Debt is gravity, interest is the acceleration, and escape velocity is when the interest balances the ability to pay. We will find ourselves in a economic black hole, and I think soon.

We need a FOSS business-in-a-box solution based on nostr. CMS, accounting, team and task management, etc. Nostr will succeed if it grows beyond informal social media and people start doing real business here, too.

The point of no return is when the interest exceeds tax revenue. How close are we to that point, I wonder.

We need to just stop using dollars. It is literally their only power. If we stop using dollars, they can't use them when they print them, and then the citizenry is in charge of the government.

🤯 44.6% capital gains and 25% "unrealized gains" tax!?!

This is literally theft. We must not comply. The states need to fight the federal government and protect their citizens from this tyranny.

I personally avoid the Marxist term "capitalist" and prefer more clear verbiage. I enjoy using terms such as "localism" and "free market" to describe my views. You and I will likely agree on what you mean by stating your support of "capitalism," but those who oppose it will fully misunderstand your meaning. In contrast, my stating that I believe power should be held as locally as possible to achieve a goal and that people ought to be free to trade with one another is quite difficult to misunderstand.

Good to know. Whatever it is, it is a service that further obfuscates identity in Bitcoin, which is too similar to "money laundering" for the three-letter agencies' taste. The fact is that money laundering is not itself a crime either, but only a technique to hide other crimes.

Theft, fraud, and extorsion precede or are followed by "laundering", and the "laundering" doesn't make the crime worse but only justice more difficult to achieve, which one may call obstruction only in the case that another crime has been or is being committed. (Note: a crime anticipated is not yet a crime. That's another path to further tyranny.)

If no other crime is being or has been committed, "mixing" and "coinjoin" only protect a user against a greedy tyrant, no matter what that tyrant says.

Mixing services simply further obfuscate identity in Bitcoin, which is too similar to "money laundering" for the three-letter agencies' taste. The fact is that money laundering is not itself a crime, but a technique to hide other crimes.

When the state can just print at will, they need even more control over the flow of money. The state doesn't have a right to private data, but only individuals can volunteer their data in cooperation with the state to seek justice.

The fact is that more financial injustice is committed by the state than by private citizens, and the difference is such a magnitude that it must be called laughable. First, treat the state as simply another party and do the moral analysis. Financial tyranny is the only conclusion.

"Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's," but when Caesar sees others seeming to not agree with him about what is his, he becomes a cruel oppressor. He will not easily give up his control over his subjects, and neither ought we expect it.

Mixing is a technique to obfuscate one's identity when considering transactions, which is as much a protection against tyrants as it may be an evasion of justice. It seems to me to be morally neutral, like owning weapons or driving cars. It is not the provider of the means but the user who should be held responsible, and that is the point. The DOJ is wrong for this.

Pronounced "en-git" or like "dangit" without "day"? I kinda like the latter 🤷‍♂️

Sure thing! Most people think of me as "the website guy," but that's really the icing on the cake. The main point of my service is to help others win clients and costumers by communicating simply, clearly, and powerfully. It takes work, but it's totally worth it for the huge boost in confidence and better results without the slimy, sales-y feeling either.
