I think I’d like to learn more about Adam Back.

Specifically because he came up with proof of work and rolled with it when it was used by Bitcoin, and is still here.

People need to learn the hard way with these things.

Alternatively they could start with testing environments, learning how to read the source code to understand what they are running and more importantly, the risks they take with hot wallets and how to keep their node as secure as possible.

Running code that isn’t open-source is only one issue.
