Potential for new bitcoin adoption - YouTube banning Firearms Advertisement

"Bitcoiners have been saying this for a while. The firearms community needs to adopt bitcoin before they have no other options. Few have headed this advice. I went to YouTube today a saw a video from a very popular firearms training channel called Hickok45. The released a video titled Bad News - YouTube where they let their subscribers know about the uncertainty of their future due to YouTube's new policy banning firearms advertising.

YouTube is of course within their rights to do this but that's not a solution to the problem. The problem goes deeper. Credit card processors and companies as well as banks have and could increase their censorship of firearms purchases. Bitcoin fixes this.

As far as the video hosting problem there are other platforms that will likely open their doors to these trainers and educators but that isn't good enough. Nostr is new but I see it as the most hopeful solution coupled with bitcoin over lightning. Over the past week I've been experimenting with satellite.earth CDN file hosting service. I've been pretty impressed by it. Its very new but it seems like a real solution to the file hosting centralization problem for Nostr.

I've tried in the past to make the case for bitcoin to gun owners and few seem to see the problem. I think this is largely due to their faulty belief in the state. There are some companies that have adopted bitcoin. The only one that I'm aware of is Fenix Ammunition. Anyone aware of others?"

I took the orange pill. Happy to be here!

I’m one of those businesses. Yes I train LE, Mil, and patriots. Follow your thinking to the logical end… I’ve been down that path (mentally) you are espousing. Would you rather bridge the gap between liberty minded patriots and those in LE now? Or strengthen the walls of animosity towards them by digging your heels in before the fighting even starts? I am not trying to dissuade your stance, or preach at you, but I find it far more strategic to befriend and influence them before they have to make the choice to “follow orders.” I know it may seem far too late, but there is hope yet, because the first shots haven’t been fired.

We need to win them over to our side more than we need to alienate them. Call me crazy, but there is a magnificent blessing in being a peacemaker.

I want not only citizens, but LE to understand the blessings of individual liberty and how our country’s aim was to pursue it from the beginning. I want to teach cops the “doctrine of the lesser magistrate,” (google that one) so that they may be strengthened to be morally brave when the time comes to rightly disobey orders. We cannot alienate them, we must make them feel included and part of our communities so that the thread of their conscience is so thick they dare not sever it to let their neighbors fall into box cars.

I recommend reading Richard Wurbrand’s “In God’s Underground,” to see what happens to cops who “follow orders” in the end.

Cheers.

Great class this weekend! Really enjoyed the hard work and drive that all the students brought. Performance Rifle is a high tempo course for the experienced shooter. Great for SWAT, and ODA operators, but especially applicable for the citizens who take seriously their constitutional duty to be a rifleman to preserve a free state. Feel free to reach out to me to schedule a class near you or come up to our 240 acre training facility in TN!

I am truly amazed at how God has orchestrated His provision. In July we obeyed His call to plant a church in Clarksville and run Paladin Tower Tactics full time.

Faith in Jesus alone pleases God. I want to live for His pleasure, this is worth more than anything this world has to offer!

Not tracking with Fraser on this one. To love is also to hate. If I love life, then I hate murder. If I love children, I hate pedophilia and the murder of them (whether in the womb or not). If I love mankind I hate rape, murder, and theft. To love what is good is to hate what is evil.

There is no apathetic middle ground to wicked things. Either we stand against them or we approve of them.

“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.”

Romans 12:9

“Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects…”

1 Corinthians 13:6-7

Thanks for the support! I love #nostr bc it feels like there is actually value to the information I can put out and it’s reciprocated in more than just an internalized manner. I’m so glad I have entered the BTC circle.

First shot on target is perhaps the most important skill in a gunfight. We use shot timers to measure our performance, but the reality is the shot timer only tells half the story.

We need to account for the human reactionary time gap that is present for all of us just to simply perceive a threat and take action aka OODA loop (observe, orient, decide, act). On average this is 1.8 seconds for humans.

Your actual draw time is more accurately reflected when you add 1.8 seconds to it. If your draw is 1 second, in reality it’s 2.8 seconds. Why is this important Scott? Thanks for asking. From historical data we know armed confrontations are typically over within 3 seconds.

What is the take away? Get training and start practicing.

These are the “tools of liberty.” Learn to use them, it’s your civic duty. Keep your powder dry and your hatchet sharp. Invest in training.

Applying proper grip to a pistol will exponentially improve your ability as a shooter in a fight.

If trigger press is “king” in fundamentals, grip is most certainly “queen.” I see the most issues with grip when students train with me.

In this video the student does not provide a high enough purchase on the back strap. The result is an unnecessarily violent recoil impulse that will prevent her from seeing the sight sooner in a predictable motion. After she was corrected on proper hand placement it helped, but didn’t cure it completely. The one thing she continued to miss, even after this correction, is the proper application of leverage on the pistol. Proper hand placement is half the equation, leverage is the rest of it.

Although grip is not needed for accuracy (that’s all sight picture and trigger press), it is necessary to be repeatedly accurate, which translates directly to fighting with a gun.

If you like this content please be sure to share it. Thank you for the support and encouragement! Hope to see y’all in one of my classes soon

Thanks!

Yes sir, I’m aware of their trade mark in the context of course titles for training as a marketable product. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t believe they own the rights to the phrase as it relates to a communicated idea.

I have taken a TR course and like what they offer for the most part. We have some minor differences in the teaching of the fundamentals, but overall they are solid.

I routinely try to run the Modern Samurai Project Black Belt Standards “cold,” to start my range practice. One of these days I’ll get it.

Cold start drills are more than a fad on the internet. They can be a critical tool for gauging the work you have done during the week dry firing.

A good rule of thumb is that for every live round you fire on the range, you should have fired three “dry rounds” during the week. Like anything else, consistency is the key. Try doing 5 min of dry fire a day.

Get after it y’all!
