The fireball should be a good yo-yo to learn how to land it on the string with. That’s called a trapeze btw :) it stopping quickly is because it suddenly has two strings in the gap imparting friction to the inner walls of the yo-yo but another thing they can cause it to slow down quickly is not keeping your hands parallel, if one hand is more forward and the other isn’t it will cause the string to be at an angle compared to the orientation of the gap of the yo-yo, which will cause the string to run against the hubs in two spots. Try hard to land the yo-yo on the string as close to your non throw hand index finger as possible (to make it easier to land) and try to keep your hands aligned to reduce friction. As soon as it lands pop the yo-yo up into the air by pulling your hands apart and it will begin to find itself up. Get your non throw hand out off the way and try to catch the yo-yo :) focus on landing it on the string and immediately exiting the trick and catching the yo-yo. Once you can do that consistently start practicing leaving it on the string for a second or two. As long as you can, and practice building up longer and longer trapezes in increments

There’s a type of yo-yo trick that we call a repeater. Basically elements that can be done together over and over. I randomly stumbled into this one today :)

I don’t know why I made this edit… https://v.nostr.build/XV64W.mp4

It should still be useable, you’d need to figure out what the axle was, which can be slightly hazardous if you’re testing them and it gets cross threaded 😅 the ball bearing is most likely a Size C or '0.250 x 0.500 x 0.188 in' those are the most common and my best guess based on the picture. If you search size c yo-yo bearing you should find a wide variety of options around 8usd. I tried searching for your model of yo-yo but nothing came up so trial and error would most likely be needed to find the axle size

Definitely :) this is from 2012, at this point I do have a mic I just need to record updated lessons to post with it 😊

This tutorial builds off of the intro to yo-yoing tutorial I posted earlier. This is a tutorial for the yo-yo trick known as the sleeper, which is when you throw the yo-yo and let it spin at the end of the string. Almost every other yo-yo trick builds off of this one, so if you want to learn the harder stuff you’ll need to learn this first.

Got the domain set, thank you for all your help! 🙏😊

I changed mikemonty81 to mikemonty1 and then tried to change mikemonty29 to mikemonty81 and saw the error in the screenshot. So I guess I can’t just change the domain to get the correct theme to display and the domain would be lost to me if I tried to with the current iteration 😅

Yes I’m on an iPhone15 running the ios18beta2 os. The issue in the screen recording is definitely resolved now :)

It happened again, I like the Attila theme and switch to that to test and see if the issue was resolved but it make a third site 😅 I understand we can change our domains, say I change the original to something else, does that free it up to be used for the theme I tried to change it to? Or should I wait for the ability to change themes on an existing site to be fixed? Ty!
