The next step is to define illicit with a blurry definition...

That's the spirit! 💜
It is so interesting if you know a little bit of coding, you can make your life easier.
We have a list of movies to watch, and we always generated a random number, looked up the movie, and decided if we want to watch it now. I mean, we could just select one and watch it, but this way seemed better for us. And this takes a lot of time manually.
So I decided last week to make a small program, that makes this instead of us. Generates the random number, and loads the movie details for the selected movie. It reduced our movie selection time to 2 minutes.
Not a big program, didn't take too much time to write, but automates the boring stuff.
Good morning! ☕️
Thanks! I never used guide books or Wikipedia, but sounds an interesting idea.
I always scrape through the internet, and select interestingly sounding things to do and visit. I realised that visiting not unique things is nice, but I will quickly forget about them later.
Not yet. I'm trying to get it loaded on an old OnePlus. Would also be interested in others thoughts.
I am thinking to do the same. Not to brick my current one, and would switch when I feel it is okay.
Anyone uses #lineageOS ? Any thoughts?

If you visit a new city, how do you select what to visit there?
Which apps or pages do use?
How much time do you spend on selecting what to visit?
Average social media: You are the product.
Nostr: You are the algorithm.
I guess we are ready for a comparison and leaderboard
If you have to choose ONE habbit to suggest to someone, what would it be?
Mine would be:
Habbit of improvement
The world changes so fast, and if you don't learn, don't adapt, don't improve, you can fall behind quite easily, and it can have really bad consequences.
So If I shall suggest something, I would suggest you to keep improving. Aim at each day, at each week, at each month to learn something good, to improve on something. If you reflect on the things you learned, you will give a boost to yourself. So that can help too. But learning first!

"Strong opinion loosly held"
It seems to me an interesting way of looking at things.
I think if you have a "strong opinion", it can drive your actions more, because you are certain in the things you know. So you are not paralyzed by being in the "state of unknown", and you do more execution.
Of course, you might be wrong. Here comes in the "loosly held" part. It means to me, that you are able to change your mind, able to learn. So basically you have a strong opinion on something, until something does not convince you it's wrong.
So for me, this phrase means,
1️⃣ You create an opinion about something with your available information
2️⃣ You execute the things you have to keeping your opinion in mind
3️⃣ Until you realize it was wrong
4️⃣ Then you go back to step one
I think most of the people use google maps, and google reviews, because they are easy to use. Also they are tightly integrated, so if you see reviews on maps, that is coming from reviews.
Maybe I am totally wrong here, could be interesting to do a poll on it.
Yes! But they don't have what I am looking for.
I am looking for a site or app to find restaurants and places. And they don't have to be related to bitcoin.
Btcmap only list places supporting btc. Also I can't find ratings on it.
Maybe my idea could be part of btc map, or they can be integrated somehow.
But I would like to have a privacy preserving map search engine and rating app.
I would like to search for any restaurant with certain filters around myself or in certain cities. If they accept bitcoin it is a plus, but what if they don't have these places in the city I am, how I can find a nice restaurant with btcmap?
A ZapMap to find, rate and zap places when I am travelling or at home.
I don't like google maps, but couldn't find one good alternative to find places. I like OSM, it also has some certain good apps, but I couldn't find one where I could find existing places with ratings.
I know qwant.com but it "only" uses tripadvisor for place suggestions.
Somehow I would like to have a map app, 1️⃣ that integrates rating and finding places in one app,
2️⃣ but also retrieves data from other map apps, so it is "filled" from the beginning and I can start to use it.
Adding zapping for places could be also beneficial to drive good reviews, drive places to put themselfs up with an lnaddress, and have live interaction between customers and places.
#TheDailyRoutine
I am aiming to make my daily routine perfect.
Under daily routine, I mean habbits, that I do during my day. In my opinion, habbits are useful to make things easier for ourselves. If something becomes a habbit, you don't have to pay attention to it anymore. And I think habbits are buildable intentionally.
So what habbits I am forming:
1️⃣ Learning of a language
2️⃣ Listening to a podcast
3️⃣ Excercising
4️⃣ Reading a book
5️⃣ Making my bed
6️⃣ Work&rest cycles
7️⃣ Sleep schedule
Some of them are already working, some of them are still just an idea, and some in between. I have specific reasons for all of them. Maybe you could also tinker with the idea of a daily routine to make your life easier.
If you already have, what are your daily routine elements and why?
