I assume, that staying in your comfort zone and doing what you have already done comes from natural instincts to stay safe.
If you stay in your comfort zone, you do something you have already done, you know how it works, there are less risks to do it.
In our modern society, brands, governments and everyone tries to play on this making us easy to do things that benefit them.
This way, we keep doing things that is easy for us, good for them, but might work against us in the near future...
