Oh nostr, I love that no one I actually know is on here (my brother follows me on Twitter, the rest of the family may have unfollowed me, but I value each of your opinions.

It gives me the freedom to post what I truly want, such as a response to the bbc headlines that are going on at the moment, although still I might not share THAT particular opinion, however, makes you wonder, what the HELL are they not telling us.

When we feel we’ve got a compelling app on iOS then we’ll add android. At the moment we’re pausing anything which isn’t focused on a compelling experience which people use and would feel sad if it went away. We’re temporarily dropping light mode because supporting light and dark was distracting us from important issues like making the app compelling.

Changelog:

- Tap the Like button on a note you’ve already liked to remove the Like.

- Display NIP-05 identifier in the Profile screen title bar.

- Added option to register nos.social usernames.

- Fixed issue where search results sometimes don’t appear.

- Disabled link to nip-05 server / url on author cards.

- Fixed issue where paste menu did not appear when tapping in the Post Note view.

- Fixed intermittent crash when tapping Done after editing your profile.

- Fixed URL detection of raw domain names, such as β€œnos.social” (without the β€œhttp” prefix).

- Fixed the sort order of gallery media to match the order in the note.

- While composing a note, a space is now automatically inserted after any mention of a user or note to ensure it’s formatted correctly.

New design elements on Damus are great.

And Coracle is looking better and better.

Onboarding people into nostr still has a ton of issues, but those are just iterations.

Once people grasp the ease of moving from one client to the next, and more importantly, from app to app, it’s hard to return to the legacy model.

But what wins all is the permissionless model. The more developers who cut their teeth on this, the better everything gets.

I’ll do everything I can to get people to look this way, play, and eventually build something that matters.

Primal’s iOS and Android app are insane. They are feel better than Twitter, damus feels janky in comparison. If it worked on my account and without caching servers it would probably be my daily driver.
