You should have heard me later on in the evening when she was reading a book called “weird but true: 300 outrageous facts” and she said “dad, did you know that if you traveled the speed of light you wouldn’t age.”
“Yes I did”
“Why wouldn’t you age?”
“…….do you know what a dimension is?”
“No”
“…….okay, so imagine a worm on a wire…”

Good morning everyone. With school starting up I’ve had a lot less time to hang out here. But I’m still here.
I’m about to head out for a quick run. Hope everyone is doing well and has a great day!

I’m testing this out and to get 5000 sats converted to eCash it is going to be a 3000 sat fee. Is that normal? (I’m trying to pay with Muun wallet.)
Wait, when I use wallet of satoshi there’s no fee. Must be just a Muun wallet thing?
“The fastest chip in an iPhone – ever.”
No shit? You guys decided to NOT put a slower chip in your UPDATED phone. Tell me more… 🙄
The weird thing is that I don’t feel like there’s much of a cult anymore. I mean a lot of people would never switch to android - myself included unless major things changed - but there doesn’t feel like a religious following anymore. It’s like they insist on giving grand(ish) sermons to a nearly empty church.
Aren’t we past the point where Apple needs to hold a massive “event” just to tell us that their chips are little faster, their cameras are a little better, and that change the charging port?
Some of you homeschoolers or unschoolers might be interested in this. Or if you just have kids in the age range from 8 to 12. #homeschooling #unschooling #grownostr
“Announcing: "Young Wanderers," a subscription box reading program for curious children.
The great thinkers of the past thought that reading good books, those that transcend space and time, was a crucial element of a good education. I agree. And reading classic literature is a key ingredient of a liberal arts education, an education focused on developing the mind.
If you think about education like a puzzle, with different elements, like reading philosophy and fictional literature, writing stories and persuasive essays, manipulating objects and machines in the name of exploration, and so forth, Young Wanderers is one piece of the education puzzle. The purpose being to go on an adventure via imaginative literature, become integrated in a different reality, the one the writer has created, and relish in the power of storytelling to ignite the imagination in a way that is familiar to the reader.
Young Wanderers read classic imaginative literature, such as The Jungle Book, The Secret Garden, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and Black Beauty to have such experiences.
Children ages 7 to 12 who sign up to become a Young Wanderer receive a classic text nearly once a month, along with other goodies like writing materials and milestone gifts. And parents, or the caregiver who signs up the child, are granted access to an online community of other caregivers who value classic literature and a liberal arts education.”
“Grandpa, tell me about how you made your first million sats.”
“Well, it was mostly just saying ‘gm’ on nostr and occasionally adding a picture of my coffee mug.

“Make sure you’re not made ‘Emperor,’ avoid that imperial stain. It can happen to you, so keep yourself simple, good, pure, saintly, plain, a friend of justice, god-fearing, gracious, affectionate, and strong for your proper work. Fight to remain the person that philosophy wished to make you. Revere the gods, and look after each other. Life is short—the fruit of this life is a good character and acts for the common good.” —MARCUS AURELIUS

Haha. Well, I manage to do it once a week just to keep my muscles from melting away. This fall I’m going to try to increase to twice a week and see how it goes. I love running a lot more, but building muscle seems to be important for overall health, so here I am. lol
Weightlifting this morning when I’m done planning/grading for school and then off to warping young minds into thinking math isn’t so bad!
Good morning! Hope you all have a great day! #coffeechain
