Dad. Husband. Math teacher. Runner. Amateur writer. Fisherman. Mediocre guitar player and volleyball player. We need a new cultural enlightenment. I want to be a part of it.

Has anyone found a non-whey based protein powder they like? I’m not vegan but whey seems to really bother my stomach. #grownostr #health #protein

Cooked some steaks for my birthday yesterday. Turned out pretty good! #grownostr

We thought we wanted social media. What we really wanted was robust chat apps with group chats and channels.

Maybe not. I don’t know. But I like those a lot better than anything ads and an algorithm.

“But, more importantly, the prosecution of Assange as a publisher—the first time the Espionage Act would be used this way—would effectively criminalize the basic work of obtaining and publishing state secrets. It would make a lot of investigative journalism relating to national security close to impossible.”

They don’t twist left and right very easily. And they are the Ultrafly 4.

This is fantastic news! Nuclear power is central to any serious plan to lower greenhouse gas emissions. By far the safest, most scalable, and most environmentally friendly source of energy we have. I’m glad to hear Michigan is embracing nuclear power, not only with this but with plans to further nuclear power in the state.

Agreed. However, I think it remains to be seen whether or not Nostr clients and relays can be profitable. I think it’ll be harder to be profitable without algorithms. But hopefully they will. And Nostr is more than just social clients so there should be a wide range of ways for people building on Nostr to make money.

It really *sucked*. I see what you did there… 😏

I agree. My concern is that things are changing too fast for new institutions to help us. Building new institutions takes time and building trust in those institutions takes even longer.

However, it is possible that in the age of instant communication an institution could go through that process much quicker.

The corruption and decay of our institutions is tragic especially because, I believe, we are entering a time in history when our institutions will be more important than ever. And I fear too many of them are too far gone to be up to the challenge.

It’s depressing, but I hold out hope that maybe enough people will realize this and try to turn them around.

Ugh. I mean it’s not a huge deal. I just sipped from the cup. First world problem I guess.
