I made a thing.
I present Cookstr, a nostr protocol recipe collector. (It’s an alpha version, please be kind)
By the end of today, I think I’ll be set with an alpha version. I’ll let you know
I’m a decently tech-savvy person, but when I orange-pilled I did custody and bought on exchanges. I just didn’t feel comfortable diving in headfirst. I did my research and due diligence and evolved to make the correct decisions about privacy and ownership, but I still needed that on-ramp.
For nostr, I’m using WoS as a similar on-ramp. I have only bothered with the DCA game and never had a reason to participate on the LN, so I wasn’t/haven’t been ready to plunge into it just yet.
I think this is a natural progression for a lot of people and a totally valid one.
I don’t really know what to think to be honest. I don’t get the feeling that there is a single, driven rational actor at work.

nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft has been building NDK (Nostr Dev Kit) for a bit over a month now. NDK makes it much easier/faster to build Nostr apps while also working hard to ensure decentralization. However, the docs are very lacking.
I'm building an NDK docs site right now and need helpers that can write markdown to help me move (and write new) content for the site. I'll coordinate, and I'm more than happy to play editor so this is a great project for first-time contributors.

Is h there a robust way to identify spam though? Or to put it differently, can spam reports be games by malicious actors?

I don’t really care about bots to be honest. I think there are other ways to deal with them.
This would be an interesting implementation. I think a zapped and an unzapped version makes sense, but then we’re probably running into too many options.
Both can be valid I think, but zaps will build a more robust system
