There may be beefy read only servers that syncs with all other normal servers and collect unique events, that will ensure all the events are there. Writing can be done still be done to several smaller servers..

Beefy relays are going to be more attractive because noone wants to miss out on events.

It looks like clients will get more complicated over time to cover as much Nostr functionality as possible and do some algorithms for better feed, and relays will get as dumb as possible for speed and high online user count.

welp, I guess nostr devs are getting more and more and people can develop different clients for different platforms. luckily nostr is not that complicated

I don't think uptime is that important. Several relays means redundancy is already there. I think we'll need the fastest servers running on cheapest hardware and don't care about the reliability or uptime that much. The design dictates this. Fastest servers for most online users.

Books can be gamed. But videos, you have to show the face and show that your 'skin' is in the game. Much more can be transmitted over videos. They are more 'real'.

Somebody said nostr comes with its own users. So true. If you build something on nostr you won't waste time building registration/login etc. You don't have to think about server side (mostly). Fast onboarding, low cost of acquisition.
