Sure, it impressed them, but I was still perpetually friend zoned. Always wanted the girls that were way out of my league back then. Things didn't start to change for me until I went to summer camp just for teen. I took the opportunity to work out constantly. Then I reinvented my identity. That was when my confidence soared, got my first girlfriend, and things started to change for me.
