Question… I hear a lot about the environmental/energy cost of bitcoin.
Has anyone written/thought much about the costs of maintaining the USD as the global reserve? I mean costs in the broadest way possible I.e. ~750 military bases, all kinds of soft power initiatives etc.
Seems to me those costs (including environmental) would dwarf BTC.

Can anyone help me understand why BTC seems more popular than ETH? I’m fairly new to this space but have read there is a huge energy requirement for BTC vs ETH.
Am I barking up the wrong tree?
Thanks in advance
Amazing. Is anyone able to share lessons learnt ? I would like to do something similar in west Africa
Does the community know of any humanitarian work at scale (I.e. physical infrastructure) funded by crypto? May be a stupid question, I’ve just arrived here…
What if Square merchants could receive BTC via Lightning with their WoS PoS, and it instantly appeared as a Square payment? It would greatly simplify bookkeeping & sales tax tracking.
We've got it working! 🥳
Will be looking for some brave Square merchant testers soon...🚀
