A nostr and bitcoin only business founded block 916216. I hand make tooth cleaning powders. Buy from me and replace your toothpaste with something made from ingredients you can pronounce.

I do find humor in the challenge of getting word of mouth spreading for a toothpaste. Puns.

Have to do things the nostr way.

Found a large thread of people talking about toothpaste and dropped a bunch of zaps.

I haven't seen anyone selling bulk Chinese widgets on nostr.

It is all unique hand made products that would sell for a premium in dollars too.

I started because I wanted it many years ago and it is what I use on my teeth today.

It wasn't until I found bitcoin and nostr that I thought there might be a big enough community that wanted the same thing to try selling.

If everyone thinks I'm crazy and no one buys I guess I'm stocked for my personal supply for a while.

The powers that be say I can't say it does anything other than clean without a giant study on my finished formula.

If you search for research on calcium carbonate and xylitol you'll find more reasons than abrasion and cleaning why they were included for sure.

I spent about 1.5 hours with a muddle and the salt for this batch to get it down to a fine powder even though I started with Redmond's fine grade. That isn't multiple batches, just grinding the same salt all that time. I'm all about proof of work but if this scales at all I'll be looking for another way to get the goal size.

Rather than eyeballing future batches the salt will be run through a 200 mesh sieve for repeatability. At 200 mesh maximum particle size the relative dental abrasion for the finished product should be around 30, well below the 80 limit recommended for daily use.

Sure. I have 1 variety right now.

Ingredients: Calcium Carbonate, Xylitol, Baking Soda, Sea Salt, Kaolin Clay.

The sea salt is Redmond Real Salt Sea Salt that I grind to a smaller size to reduce abrasiveness.

It tastes like salt because I wanted only active ingredients, no flavors added.

It is a powder. I just wet the brush, knock off the excess water, and dip the brush in the powder. Any powder that gets wet sticks so the tin doesn't end up wet unless your brush is dripping. Otherwise brush as normal.

Any specific questions?

I have been asked repeatedly about 2 ingredients. If I were to work up a new recipe which of these are you mostinterested in?

Add nano hydroxyapatite?

Ooops all fluoride?

Labels!

I got some help.

Any tins that don't sell at the local bitcoin meetup tomorrow will be available on nostr.

8 new tins, 100 grams each of my Stage 1 tooth cleaning powder.

I guess other businesses have labels... New project.

I think I have incoming and outgoing zaps working.

Xylitol, yes

Nano Hydroxypipate, no

Sourcing by buying single raw ingredients off the internet just like my personal batches for now. If I find bitcoiner sources I will consider switching.

I have a couple of stages of abrasiveness possible.

Stage 1 ingredients: Calcium Carbonate, Xylitol, Baking Soda, Sea Salt, and Kaolin Clay.

Stage 1 tastes like salt to me with no baking soda taste.

For people who cannot stand the taste of baking soda even a little or want a little more abrasive there will be a second option.

Stage 2 ingredients: Calcium Carbonate, Xylitol, Kaolin Clay, Sea Salt.

Both have a dental abrasiveness that is low enough to be safe for daily use.

I'm building this business completely upside down. I never intended to sell a product, I just made a thing I wanted because I wanted it. Then one day I learned about nostr and thought some of you might want it too.

I have no business plan, no name, no site, not even a way for you to pay me yet, nothing but a product with 10 years of R&D behind it and this account.

The story of how it came to be. I hate toothpaste. Foam is not necessary to clean your teeth. They market to you that foaming equals cleaning and then sell you toothpaste that goes off like a science fair volcano in your mouth. Gross.

So I started with an internet search. Turns out I could make my own toothpaste that was likely better. It is simpler with fewer ingredients and I can pronounce all of them. Nothing is there without a good reason. So I started making my own. It was ok but not great, so I refined my recipe, repeatedly, for years.

Now I'm going to scale up the best version I've ever made and sell it to you, I hope.

While I figure out how to accept payments and mix up the first batch, feel free to ask questions and see if my tooth cleaning powder is right for you.

As a begginner, I should probably follow some other nostr only bitcoin only bitcoin only businesses to see how it is done. Who do you recommend?
