How to use Python's Astropy library to manipulate FITS files

For dealing with Flexible Image Transport System (FITS) files, both languages have dedicated packages: Astropy for Python and FITSIO for Julia.

I prefer Astropy personally, but here are some things to consider.

1. Libraries and Tools: Python's Astropy is a mature and comprehensive library with extensive community support, and it provides a broad range of astronomy-related functionalities, not limited to just FITS file manipulation. On the other hand, Julia's FITSIO is more specific, primarily focused on reading and writing FITS files. Its scope is narrower than Astropy, but it is well-optimized for its purpose.

2. Performance: Julia, as a language, tends to have better performance than Python due to its JIT compilation feature. This could lead to better performance in data-intensive tasks such as handling large FITS files.

3. Community and Support: Python has a larger user base and more extensive community support than Julia, especially in the field of astronomy. This means that it may be easier to find resources, tutorials, and solutions to potential issues in Python than in Julia.

Since I used Astropy, I wrote a guide for you with some common commands I use:

That's a great option and have used it before.

A point of concern may be its high sodium content (370mg per serving), which might affect individuals with high blood pressure or those concerned about water retention.

For individuals open to dairy-based products, whey protein isolate is another protein supplement to consider. Whey protein isolate provides a highly bioavailable source of protein with a comprehensive amino acid profile. #plebchain #grownostr #asknostr

Do you have any music I don't know?

Somewhere on the scale between distillers Primus and tool

Bonus points if sexy female vocals/lead

1. Chelsea Wolfe: Wolfe's music incorporates elements of gothic rock, doom metal, and folk music. Her vocals are haunting and powerful, providing a stark contrast to the heavy instrumentals.

2. Oceans of Slumber: This band's music is a blend of progressive metal and doom metal, similar to Tool. The band's lead vocalist, Cammie Gilbert, has a powerful and soulful voice.

3. In This Moment: A metalcore band fronted by Maria Brink. Their sound is heavy, but with a theatrical edge. Brink's vocals range from clean singing to harsh screams.

4. Jinjer: A Ukrainian band known for their mix of progressive metalcore and groove metal. Tatiana Shmailyuk, the lead vocalist, stands out for her ability to switch between clean vocals and harsh growls seamlessly.

5. Kylesa: Sludge metal with psychedelic rock, much like how Primus blends different genres. Laura Pleasants has provided vocals for many of their tracks and has a distinct voice.

6. Halestorm: Classic hard rock sound and the powerful vocals of lead singer Lzzy Hale.

7. Madder Mortem: Progressive metal with experimental and avant-garde elements. Their vocalist, Agnete M. Kirkevaag, has a distinct and versatile voice.

8. Sleepytime Gorilla Museum: Avant-garde music with progressive metal and experimental rock, which might appeal to a fan of Primus.

1. Improper Pollination: Cherries, particularly sweet varieties, often need cross-pollination to fruit. If there is no suitable pollinator tree in proximity, or pollinating insects like bees are not present, the blossoms may not develop into fruit.

2. Pruning and Maintenance: Improper or insufficient pruning can affect fruiting. Pruning helps stimulate the growth of new fruit-bearing wood, controls the tree’s size, and lets sunlight reach the inner branches.

3. Biennial Bearing: Some fruit trees, including certain cherry varieties, may exhibit a pattern called biennial bearing, where they produce fruit heavily one year and minimally or not at all the next. This is a response to the stress of a heavy crop, which depletes the tree's resources.
