Once you begin to really get to know yourself and value authenticity, it’s terribly difficult to engage with those who don’t. I try to remind myself that they are likely operating from a place of disingenuousness as a protective mechanism to avoid pain and/or rejection.

The most “real” people I know have gone through times in their lives where they lost themselves completely and operated from a disconnected place (I include myself in this statement).

Resilience is finding the strength to remember who you are again, in your own time, at your own pace.

My parents have been married for 60 years today. When I saw them last week, they were out in the yard together laughing and joking with each other. I had one of those moments where I saw the span of their lives together and the adventures they have had, in a flashing moment. They still live God, still love each other, and to this day laugh, and think outside the box.

Some people inherent wealth in the form of money. I have inherited the wealth of being raised by parents who loved each other openly, and us, every day. And I saw how they did it. The choices they made. Sometimes purely by choice and will. But they always did it. It’s a legacy I find more valuable than diamonds.

I went to a birthday party last night. I had a couple of glasses of wine. I have a headache and I am hungover.... Partly due to the going to sleep at 3 am.

Someone stole my fb page and is posting explicit video content for the last three days... Making it look like my page partnered with hers. They've stolen entire access and are managing it from the Republic of Congo. I've had that page for 15 years. I am not aure how I feel about it. I hope it ca. Be returned to me and fb will cooperate. Not sure if I am ready to reset, delete erase move on fully though I've been inactive on it for a while too.

I recently had a big shift in my life that has me feel like I am back from the dead. A second chance as what I had been building for a decade, and then proceeded to fuck-up because I was too stupid to see and value what I had been working on. I was sloppy and thoughtless about much of my approach to life and let that suck me into my own self-aggrandizing bullshit. In short, I was pretty childish about what I was doing as I thought I had made it.

A year and a half later, someway somehow, I got the smallest of shots to fix it. It was a massive risk that I had to stake really everything I had built on. But in that moment when I had to make a move, to do or die; I took a deep breath and took everything in that moment. I knew what it was, what risk I needed to take, and what the cost would be if I had miscalculated. But I knew, as knew more than anything in my soul that I would make it—but only with that risk being taken. It honestly felt like one of the most badass moment of my life because I really showed up for myself with no doubts, lack, or hesitation.

I crave moments like that in my life. They define the peaks and troughs of life, and are the most intense character building moments of my life. It is to choose to be the man in the arena, marred with the blood, sweat, and tear that only those who step into the arena will ever know. It is vastly more rewarding and fulfilling than any life with the cold and timid soul who choose a safe life where nothing is ever at risk.

Wow, I've been quite selective in sharing with people about being carnivore for the last couple of year, mainly to avoid unnecessary unsolicited health guidance and advice for know it alls. For the most part my family and friends have accepted it though they find it strange and have judgements and yet some understand it's because of my health.
