Also did Foundation pitch investors: 1 actively lie about where their code came from, 2 simply fail to disclose where it came from, or 3 be fully transparent about where the code came from? I think which of those they did makes a big difference. 1 or 2 are not a good look. 3 feels fairly reasonable.
Whether you agree or disagree, what is the pro case for paying a lot more for a Foundation vs coldcard or Q1? Why is it worth such a large premium?
Even tribal loyalty aside, coinkite products are much cheaper and more proven(at least for now). All else equal I’d rather go with a cheaper option.
Before spending $1 trillion forcing the whole country onto objectively unreliable “renewable” energy sources, could we please at least do just a single test where we have a mid sized city only use solar, wind, and batteries with no fossil fuel backup? Then when that fails can we all agree nuclear is the only real climate solution?
You have not lived life on the edge until you’ve used “rm -rf” in Linux. I’ve been less stressed with broken limbs.
How does he have the money to keep suing everyone? Is someone else funding him?
Congrats. When you’re able to, please share who it is so we can patronize them. 👍🏻

If you’re using any kind of spread, jelly, topping, etc. the increased surface area is helpful. At a certain point its just physics. That’s science. It’s inevitable.

GM! What do you think of the passport? I love it’s made in the US, but it’s so expensive and still has limited support among wallets I use. I just can’t get over that for that price I can almost buy 2 coldcards or 4 blockstream jades.
I think I’ve been lucky enough to have a pretty great life, but nothing has been as fulfilling as having a child/family. Cannot recommend enough. Makes me sad how many people I know say they don’t want kids. Everyone should decide for themselves, it’s a huge responsibility. But it’s also awesome! Highly recommend!
To each their own, not knocking anyone. Just trying to learn. Can’t you get all of those things(minus looks) from the blockstream Jade or upcoming coinkite Q1 for a lot less money?
Maybe I’ve missed the boat, why is anyone buying a passport when they’re at least 2x more expensive than other options? I see no clear value add versus a cold card, and they have far less software support and integrations.
It’s not a guarantee it’s just as I said, moving physical parts can wear out more easily.
https://www.tomshardware.com/features/ssd-vs-hdd-hard-drive-difference
Definitely true, but even an HDD based node you have to replace every couple years or a 1TB pruned SSD node doesn’t feel like the end of the world. Maybe I’m missing something or oversimplifying.
How so? While this HDD is new I’ve used an HDD as a second hard drive for my desktop and running Bitcoin core on my desktop for years without a hiccup.
Why is an SSD required versus HDD? My node runs on an HDD and I’ve never noticed any issues. They are waaaay cheaper. I got a name brand 4TB HDD for like $80.
