A designer, builder and homesteader

I finished the last piece of a clients bathroom remodel. I left my job as a designer in an architecture firm several years ago and now on top of the design and drafting work I do for clients, I also take on a lot of the build myself. It has made me a better designer understanding the challenges of building a home...even this simple bench.

Day 25: #grownostr initiative

I am going to a local auction today to try and find some livestock panels to stake the tomato plants. I will probably check out the poultry and rabbit auctions as well.

I think it is time to thin the bush beans...

Day 23: #grownostr initiative

Good morning all. I am going to be inside today due to the rain that is pending. So I thought I would try a few more nostr clients. Which ones do you like?

You're welcome. My parents and grandparents always planted Marigolds in their gardens. Beyond repelling pest, they also attract pollinators and are a really pretty flower. After reading about the benefits, I will probably plant a lot more next year.

Cool. Do you have a rooster or just hens? I only ask because I free range my birds and the only one that will hop on top of fences and cross is the rooster.

That's a beautiful pic. Lucky birds. Do you clip their wings?

Day 22: #grownostr initiative

I had a couple of plants in my garden that didn't make it. So I planted some Marigolds in their place near the tomatoes and bush beans.

Day 21: #grownostr initiative

I am still astounded by interesting people and interesting things that I find on nostr everyday. Very thankful to be a part of this awesome community. Whether it be #BTC, #plebstr or #grownostr.

I planted about 100' of bush beans for the first time. about how much beans does your bed produce?

This is true, but it shuts off water right at the fixture (i.e. under your sink, behind your washer, etc.) This just takes it a step farther and allows the entire line to be shut off. If I want to shut off water to the hose bib on the north side of my house I can do so. I mainly plumbed it this way to have home runs to each fixture and eliminate all connections. It is continuous pipe from the manifold to the fixture.
