I finished plumbing the hot and cold water lines in our home today. I am using a manifold and running home runs to each fixture. This allows for the water supply to each fixture in our home to be isolated and turned off without turning off the main water line.

Those barrels look like something from a star wars set...pretty sweet. Are they composting bins?
Day 19: #grownostr initiative
I found this insect on a tomato leaf in my garden this morning. From a quick online search it appears to be some type of fly. I couldn't positively identify it, but there is a great website that helps to identify insects by narrowing them down by appearance, location, etc. insectidentification.org

Thanks Tom. I'll give that a try.
Thank you.
Can someone direct me to a good resource on how to run a relay?

I didn't use to be a fan of cherry tomatoes. I used to like big slicing tomatoes...well I still do, but I've become a bigger fan of cherry tomatoes in the last few years.
I don't really mind it since I've stopped using Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
Garden News:
The first flowers on the tomato plants have opened. Both were on the Super Sweet 100's.

I love how the chickens are super stoked too and are running and as soon as they get to the water's edge they remember they aren't ducks
Day 18: grownostr initiative
We have our first irrigation leak of the year. This reminds me of a quote by Kurt Vonnegut:
“Another flaw in the human character is that everybody wants to build and nobody wants to do maintenance.”
I understand this thought. Everyone imagines slicing and eating that tomato picked from the garden, but few think about the many task that make that tomato taste the way it does.
So the next time someone gives you extra vegetables from their garden or you buy delicious produce from a CSA or the farmer's market, remember someone was probably on their knees digging a hole and repairing an irrigation leak to help it grow.

That is a solid starter. I have 3 varieties of water melon in the garden this year.
Tomatoes and Peppers always do well here for me. Onions, carrots, etc. are hard for me. I'm with you on the living for a thousand years to dabble in all the things that interest me.
I listed 5 off the top of my head under #bibliophilia. Most are pretty standard off the shelf classics. Based on what I see on your profile and your comments I would recommend 'The Body' by Bill Bryson. He will take you on a fascinating journey through the body.
5 Books I recommend off the top of my head (in no particular order):
The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand
The Body by Bill Bryson
My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George
A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole
The Godfather by Mario Puzo
