Ah, you mean write events. That's different obviously. But one can just write events to multiple free relays. What's the advantage of paying to write events to any particular relay?
I don't like this, as it incentivizes event volume, instead of filter quality.
Is there a lightning client that has implemented this?

We need a way to see the feed from a single relay, without changing the client's general relay configuration. This would allow participation in niche, closed communities, while still having global.
Wen 1-click zaps
Need a rational incentive structure for paid relays. Revenue should be a subscription model, not a one-time fee. Need a way to schedule ongoing systematic LN payments.

♥️ signal not noise
⚡ nostr.
What's a good web link to intro people to nostr?
This seems like a more customizable and flexible model. However, dumb relays would be pumping out untenable firehoses of low-signal data, and smart clients would have to digest all that. Thoughts?
Looks like a lied a little, it's 4 down for global.

I'm at 5 download relays total, only 3 of those for global. filter.nostr.wine is the cornerstone.
@vitor thanks for the recent stuff. Custom zap amounts are a game changer - soooo fun.
I love being able to follow who I want when I want. None of this "you can't add any more follows" BS.
Seems like a job for a relay with a deep cache?
#[0] any plans to maintain a deeper cache of notes and events? I.e. farther back in time. For instance, if I search "Snowden" I get nothing, I assume because he hasn't posted in a while.
Or is it more appropriate for relays to govern stuff like this?
Also, shouldn't a search, at a minimum, be searching all follow and followers profiles?
♥️
Competition, instinctual understanding of game theory, mind/body integration, low time preference..... Checks out.
Amethyst + filter.nostr.wine
Gotchya, yeah I figured somethin like that.
I see that some do have videos in their notes -- how is this done?
