Just low enough to kick off my target order at about $75k. But buying sats on sale is never a bad thing!
My rancher got me in touch with a dairy producer too. We canāt buy raw milk in stores, but we can enter peer to peer arrangements (private member associations) that protect both parties. So if you count both of these guys, thatās probably 75 percent or more of our grocery bill. Eggs, beef, chicken, pork, honey, milk, cream, ground coffee, and more- all from 2 guys who regularly deliver to our house. Dairy guy doesnāt take BTC, but thatās ok. And introducing both to my network of friends in my area keeps a good amount of demand for both of them.
Bitcoiners are the best customers Iāve ever had.
Theyāre loyal. They rebuy. They tell their friends.
They want you to wināand theyāll help make it happen.
And right now, almost NO ONE is building for them.
That means thereās still time to become the Bitcoin-aligned brand in your category.
In most industries, Bitcoiners donāt have a default go-to.
No trusted shop, no favorite label, no company that āgets them.ā
That could be you.
And once they pick their brand, they donāt switch easily.
You donāt have to become a bitcoin company.
You donāt need to ditch dollars.
You donāt need to be perfect.
Just make something good.
Accept bitcoin (not crypto).
And let people know who youāre aligned with.
I did it with wine.
Now Bitcoiners are 100% of my customer base.
Not because I ran some flawless playbookā
but because I paid attention to the right customers and leaned in.
Bitcoiners are your perfect customer.
They donāt need gimmicks.
They just want to know you see them.
The lift is minimal.
The downside is basically zero.
The upside? Tremendous.
We're looking to spread this experience to extremely high quality brands via nostr:nprofile1qqsqkaay6mxplgv3f9z0ep0rq4w8jrte3rvcm43xd2cgehsjevglmdcqewx80 and need to hear back from bitcoiners as to what makes a company a "bitcoin company" that you would support like this?
I found my rancher because I listened to an interview with Texas Slim talking about ranchers nationwide taking BTC for direct sales. I now spend probably 50 percent of my total grocery budget with him, and all because he took the step to accept BTC alongside fiat payments. Iāve been ordering consistently for over a year, and referring others to him. Win win.
Did you start the stevia from seeds, or a seedling that had already started? My spouse uses stevia often, so Iād be interested in trying to grow some.
Do you boil the leaves to extract the sweetener? Or how would you use the plant?
On primal app (iOS), this looks like an image with no animation. I flipped over to Damus and see the animation. Looks great- hope people will be able to see it.
Working through the process to get a lightning node set up on my start9 server. Trying to use a bitaxe, ocean, and lightning payouts. Still in process
Totally right. And itās not just that the big cities are democrat majority. Theyāre a single point of corruption that can negate the rest of an entire state.
Search for nearly any topic (especially the most common/popular ones) and have some absolutely despicable content tagged to come up in the results.
Ha- no! I just assumed it needed care and maintenance, but Iām guessing that was a bad assumption now. š

I would give up a lil #bitcoin to see this.

Love to see this! Wonder how many times we as taxpayers have paid to have that piano tuned and maintained, vs how many times itās been played. Maybe (hopefully) itās played often- but somehow I doubt it.
Agree. I try to talk to my kids about how to use these tools, vs the tools using us. I think youāre right that our AI āhelpersā might pick up on our mood changes, early signs of depression or anger, etc. I hope they are there to help us, and not (potentially) used to manipulate us or put us at risk. Like a suicide hotline- power to help or hurt in the moment of need. I would hate to have a computer without real human feelings take that responsibility fully. Itās going to be difficult frontier to navigate. Best we can do is have eyes wide open to the benefits and the risks.
Exactly- theyāre thinking āwill a BTC have million dollars or todayās purchasing power in the future?ā I think yes, in time. But way sooner it will hit $1M/BTC in nominal terms, which as youāre saying, means little in terms of the actual buying power or value increase.
I forgot how much I loved that character. And contrast that with Iceman. So different, but both so well done and convincing in the role. Such a loss.
You can tell me to mind my own business⦠but reading that message is a good example of my concern about the AI tools. We might laugh at a story of a guy marrying a robot or something⦠but the more these tool seek to replace our human interactions, to fill emotional connections that are what make us human and unique, the more concerned I am that the next generations will start to āpreferā AI friends over real life ones. Iām definitely not implying thatās you or what youāre doing. Clearly I donāt know you. But I worry that my kids will feel safer taking to an AI than parents or friends. There will be a time and place for it, but this slope is slippery. And this comes from someone learning about AI and using it for work. Iām not afraid of the tech itself- I guess Iām afraid of what I could/will do to most people over time⦠does that make sense?
I agree with you. When I think back, my on chain footprint used to be higher- getting sub-$50k BTC, building up a bit and moving to cold storage primarily. But now, I have way more BTC interactions- DCA, zaps, paying in BTC when I can. But I have far fewer on chain transactions. If the BTC price moves up 2x or 10x or 100x, Iād personally have WAY fewer on chain moves the higher it goes. Just thinking through it and not sure how to reconcile, other than paying for things on chain just because itās cheap now, even though Lightning might be a better option.
Genuinely open to ideas on this. What do you think about it?
Kind of like Michigan in 2024 voting for Trump, and at the same time putting a new Democrat senator in over a Trump-endorsed Republican. Show me the person who votes Trump but then against his senate recommendation. No way. Not in the quantities the āvote countā would suggest. I feel like the current Trump Administration knows this and will hopefully follow up- but unfortunately Iām not holding my breath for it.
Agree. I feel like itās hard to find other Bitcoiners out in the real world because of this. Personal opsec logically leads us to not advertise we have a stack of any size. It would be like telling everyone you have gold in your house. So we all feel more isolated and ācrazyā, not knowing how many of us might be feeling the same but are hesitant to even bring it up.
