Dear LazyFedi: I have a #GrapheneOS phone. Assume I know absolutely nothing about Graphene or Android (and want to know as little as possible).

How do I get photos off the phone onto a Linux machine on the local wireless network? Preferably with something that I can run on the Linux machine to go and grab the data, rather than having to faff around on the phone. Preferably command-line.

(Something like ssh/scp to the phone would be my preference, because I know how that works already).

That’s a bit layered, but… the more distributed mining is the better. The ability to configure your own block templates and mempool policy is helpful in adversarial conditions

The game theory on this can be projected for a minimum of 2 outcomes IMO- one is more favorable to bitcoiners but it depends on multiple players and variables operating in good faith and integrity

I am running Bitcoin Knots on an Ubuntu server and recently installed Datum. I got Datum up and running using the example config file but how can I know for sure if everything is set up right? I have read that if it isn't then even if I mined a block that it may not send it to the network. I'm trying to set it up to solo mine. I've read through some documentation and maybe I have just missed the parts I needed. Anyone else already done something like this? Its all command line.

It feels like Bitcoin has finally crossed the Rubicon into the mainstream both a triumph and a tragedy.

Walking around the conference this year, you could easily mistake it for a fintech summit or SaaS expo in Vegas. Same blazers, same VC pitch decks, same awkward networking energy. The suitcoiners outnumber the cypherpunks by 100:1.

On one hand, this is what we fought for: global legitimacy, serious capital, institutional attention.

On the other, something’s been lost in translation. The raw edge, the revolutionary energy, the sense that we were building something against the system not polishing it up to sell it back to the system.

Bitcoin doesn’t feel quite as dangerous anymore.

It feels… professional. Predictable. “Respectable,” even.

Maybe that’s just the mask Bitcoin wears while it continues hollowing out the old world from within.

Either way, the vibe has shifted.
