Sir, this is nostr, twitter is ➡️ way
This has given me hope lately that things could accelerate markedly from here. When c19 is exposed as a fraud normies are going to start questioning everything and perhaps we won’t be led in ww3 as easily. Could speed up btc adoption as well.
You should def do the pods but nest could be fun afterwards with interested plebs. I read a little Heidegger in grad school, would be fun to revisit.
Would you be interested in hosting some nest sessions on the philosophy of btc? Perhaps planned weeks in advance so participants can do some background reading beforehand? Maybe pick one of your essays and one Heidegger piece?
I just finished your talk with Cedric and realized that I’m kind of over macro, interest rates, and the bond market, lol. Macro is an important baseline for understanding btc but beyond that it just seems noisy.
The talk with Cedric was pure signal. Even if there’s only a few us participating I think it could be quite beneficial to each of us and might open up some new doors in your writing.
NOSTR late night thoughts. It’s pretty clear to me that Powell is going to crash the system. I’m of the opinion he has a few objectives, collapse the Eurodollar market, send net interest expense to 1T and by doing so force feed a real fiscal debate down the throats of Congress/WH.
Is it coordinated so everyone can reset with a cbdc? Asia, Europe, perhaps, but the US isn’t getting one, not yet anyway, not as long as Powell is around and he has 3.5 years left. I think part of his objective is to create usd demand in the wake of the crash and Euro/Asian CBDC rollouts to offset recent BRICS+ dedollarization moves.
We know what CBDCs are. We know people will find and use alternatives. What if Powell is banking on this too? We think btc is the obvious alternative. He thinks the dollar is. We’re probably both right.
Depends on budget, Project Debut Carbon was the best bang/buck entry point when I was into it.
If you’re going to spend some money VPI is the best at every price range >1k imo. US made, great family company. F’ing amazing engineering nerds, the whole lot of them.
I had an Aries 3, my dad has a Classic 3. I gave it up, mainly because we moved a lot, turntable was like 60 lbs, vinyl collection was 1000lbs, needed a big empty room, just became a hassle.
FYI I have a pair of Silverline Sonata II’s, an Aragon 8008 amp and an Audio Research LS 15 preamp with upgraded tubes in my garage I need to disappear if anyone’s looking for discount gear.
Aleks assumes the current fiat system will last until 2069 in that essay. That is a mathematical impossibility. History is also crystal clear. Hard money returns during the birth of a new debt cycle. This is the first time gold has a competitor. CBs have been buying gold hand over fist. They know the cycle is over.
TLDR: we’re nearly the end of the slowly faze.
Killer, I still need to listen to his episode with Pedro. He’s in the ballpark of J Lowery in the smarts dept.
Dudes, the Matt Pines rip was fire. He’s too smart and he talks way too fast. I’m going to have to listen to that 3 times.
Preston is getting spicer the deeper we get into this debt spiral and I like it. That was a fun one.
Thx man, looking forward to getting back to Alabama next month and hitting the meet ups.
Finally figured out how to (sort of) use Damus after downloading it a few weeks ago. So this is where all you guys have been?
