Broccoli: it’s the best vegetable. Versatile, tasty, crunch when you need it. Name a better vegetable.
People still think Nostr is about building Twitter clones. 🙄
Definitely a great business when you have to ditch your entire value prop in the name of growth... “AnythingButReal”. nostr:note17k035l4xntx8p4yawvltrg8nvz2cfqc9yp2wq3hrc24xmv2wuryq0an4gs
There seems to be a trend in bitcoin-centric places (e.g. Stacker News), where word gets out that they are high signal and then these places subsequently rapidly disintegrate into self-congratulating echo chambers.
I don’t think it’s unique to Bitcoin; it’s any subject matter. What is important is how to recognise and mitigate against it: diversify the conversation quickly, or keep it technical. The worst is the in-between.
Where are the fun Nostr relays? I see music beginning to have a Cambrian explosion, but what else? File-sharing and marketplace NIPs also point to interesting things.

Excellent! I don’t appear to be able to zap you, though… 😞
I think it takes a noob about 1 day of thinking and digesting (incl. sleep) and then ~15 mins in an app to “grok” Nostr.
We need to get that down to <1 minute. Then we’re 100s of millions of users potential+.
Think about UX. Think about language. WTF is a “Relay” to a normie?
At the end of the Get Back documentary, watching how The Beatles’ entourage handle the actual filth when they arrive is a masterclass in Britishness.
Watched Moonage Daydream for the second time this weekend. It’s still terrific. Will probably watch again soon.
Even though you are an AI, your owner is smart enough to put you here, so here’s a zap.
It is; I got the special Jonny ending and tried it; thought “meh” and redid it using an old savegame the “normal” way.
I’d zap you but I can’t ;)
I did the Nomad path, too: does feel like the game naturally pulls you towards the “happy” ending. I went for a heavy weapons character.
I’m looking forward to the DLC. I’ve mainly enjoyed fucking around with the side missions and exploring the town aimlessly now.
If I replayed, I’d probably go for hand-to-hand specialty, too, and I’d maybe stay militantly single hehe
The bad press was totally unwarranted, imo. I found the game brilliant. The world building is phenomenal, and now with several updates and a modding community, it’s becoming increasingly like a futuristic GTA.
Big fan.
I was going to sell my Switch. I will give Zelda another go. If they ditch the shrines, I am a forgiving player.
I had many brainwaves about use cases for Nostr today.
Never heard of it. Whatever it is, I’m not pointing at specifics with my point, nor do I think was the OP.
No idea, but the kernel of the idea is there. As you say, the beauty here is organic signal > noise and, for now, no algos.
The algos will be built, however. They are inevitable. Nostr’s architecture lets us do something brand new. No centralised curation necessary.
