Designer that codes. Also #WordStudy #Dadstr #Farmstr

Hahaha, I can just hear the 4 year old's voice #whyeverything

That's already how I use them.

I've got lists of farmers, musicians, devs, etc... and use these as filters depending on the use case.

No real point in creating a list if it's not to categorize Npubs under an umbrella that useful to you.

Why ask users to compute how much they trust Alice for curating content about gardening carrots in the tropics and every other specific thing.

Why not instead pay DVM's with access to all this public Nostr data to do it.

Follows = Npubs you want to see more of = not spam

Profile lists = You categorizing Npubs in certain categories = filter per category

For what use case are these not enough? #WoT

So far I've not come across one WoT problem that cannot be solved by just using:

A. Follow lists

B. Computation done by competing DVM's #WoT

Yup 💯 I was a technology teacher for refugees for a year, as my first job, and that's exactly what all the other childless teachers would talk about all day.

Magicking things up is and always will be just combining existing stuff in cool ways.

In this case: Instagram meets Hypernotes.

It's the bell curve meme.

You either don't overthink it or you reeeaaally overthink it to the point where you know it's the most selfish thing you'll ever do.

I don't care about the people that will go to Instagram anyway.

I care about Nostr being awesome for me and the early adopting creators on here.

Onboarding normies is a byproduct of that.

Stories as mini-html pages is 🔥, I need it and will make it happen,

I tried this before and it's hard to make it clear enough that they are separate posts. Chat bubbles really are great for this.

Just dropping the username and keeping Pfp's works tho.

I'm slowly realizing that very few here now what Instagram stories are 🤦.

It's a way to share pictures, videos, quotes, ... It has a super easy tool built in to put text, buttons, polls, etc on that background. They typically have an expiration date (but don't have to) You can make just one or "chain" multiple in a sort of story Users swipe through the stories of the people they follow, they can comment, like and quote them in their own stories.

Anyway, I see great potential in a html meets Nostr version of all that, as an awesome tool for creators.
