Agreed, but also would rather current elected officials feel trepidation to the point that the people actually shape the "government".

The question then becomes who are the people? Decades of active manipulation to pacify the common citizen is a hard thing to overcome and that is what we maybe living through now.

When the current government structures become "concerned" it usually leads to focused attempts to undermine, or exert violence, or apply threats of violence to the sources of concern. What will the people do? #[0]
