It stops your brain from turning to scrambled eggs

The periods in my life I’ve had the most impulse to do this were the periods I needed to inspect, reflect and work on myself the most.

It’s a deflection tactic. Profound self-distracting.

And often used to medicate personal shame in the cheapest, easiest, and most powerful way possible: via shaming another person.

Go away a while, come back anonymous, problem solved. This is a short term inconvenience. They don’t understand the anti-fragility they’re up against. And still don’t understand that means that every attack makes it only stronger.

This is the problem. As they say in Kentucky, you get the shit with the chicken. Something tells me, though, that the mastodon push by the left and our ability to edit our experience here quite granularly, including via page servers, etc. will keep this place constructive, interesting, useful, and, of course, perfectly safe from tyranny for quite a long time.

If you are skeptical of corporations as groups of people who coordinate to amass abusable power, why would you not maintain the same skepticism towards your identically-described government?

Hoping the endless psyops, claptrap like-seekers, bots and moonbois stay tf away. Luckily we have this interesting relay system. Let’s see how it unfolds. Maybe we sovereign self-tweak our own algorithm in the end.

Wouldn’t surprise me based on the continued results of the last few years.

The attacks on #bitcoin via concern-trolling BIP pushes (from the inside, even!), social engineering, political triangulation, etc are going to ramp up wildly — it’s already started!

You will hear the most extreme things, and the stream will not stop or pause.

Be extremely careful from here on out.

#Bitcoin OP_VAULT BIP: “The way I understand it, the RBF itself has to be changed and added to the protocol as part of the consensus rules (it currently is just an option).” So this BIP effectively forces RBF further. Seems like an attack tbh. 🤷‍♂️ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5436087.0

In theory, I agree, but I keep going back to it. Raspiblitz never worked for me with what hardware I could get in Argentina. And raspibolt (manual setup on command line) works but many things I can’t seem to get working.

Therefore I opt for Umbrel with only the most core apps installed. My only concern is one day they’ll be (or already are) compromised and can backdoor or fuck with it. I am hoping this is being monitored by the technically competent actively. I am trusting it for the time being. For me, for now, it Just Works.
