This was good.
40 years ago today.
Roasting some spelt right now to make some “coffee”. So far, smells pretty good 😊
The Misses ground up some spelt this morning and I made some flatbread. I am slowly adding grains to my gardening; it’s more for education and resilience than efficiency. It’s good to know what grows in my area and it’s nice to be able to roughly calculate yields if there’s ever some hiccup in the supply chain. Try some small experiments and learn, it’s addictive.

Whenever I hear physicists speculate about the universe being a 2D hologram, I think about the NeverEnding Story and the scroll in Revelations. I lean more towards a Reformed theology, but it’s hard to accept at times. Free will is a real thing, but it’s more of a metaphysical thing.
I never got Lagrange running well on the Librem 5. Tried a couple compile options.
If the Pope was good for anything, he would be asking Brandon some serious questions about his true allegiances and condemning some of his words and actions. He could at the very least ask him to step down due to his illness.
Yeah, you should look into real linoleum.
I haven’t really bought into the “seed oils bad” argument yet. I only eat the cold pressed stuff, and not a lot of it, but I’m not sure if the hydrogenated stuff is really the devil people make it out to be. I lean toward it’s just easier to get overweight on such a calorie dense food. If you know of any well made studies that indicate otherwise I’m up for education. Linseed oil is excellent on wood and not too bad in oatmeal🙂. Lac flakes are really fun with wood finishing.
I just picked up and turned on my M5Paper that’s been sitting on the shelf for a couple of years. 65% charge and it just started feeding me data, doing its job. This is the kind of future I want to live in.
That can be true, but I always throw in a good helping of grace first.
This was very well produced and interesting.

"Nobody can read the source code of Chrome. Not alone, not as a team. Humans don't live long enough. Any group that claims to have gone through the code and de-Googlized it is lying: all that's possible to do is some searches, and try to measure what traffic it emits. A thousand people working for a decade couldn't read the entire thing."
Maybe it is cheaper to grow ALL of your own food. I’ve been in the camp of “be able and practice” growing all your food in the event of an emergency. I guess we’re there.
