Also, in my experience, sometimes these programs need to be connected to the internet momentarily at start up for some reason but after they are loaded you can unplug ethernet cable if you like and be offline. Either way, none of these communicate anything out and are all local, but i've had issues booting up with network turned off at the beginning. Probably because some of them use a browser interface and even though you are connecting locally they don't work if you shut it all down.

What i'm trying to imagine is the future where you set up a new npub account on any nostr app and you would automatically be ecash zappable.
well known mints would be default assigned, just like how well known relays are defaults assigned.
And I think your ecash balance would be accesible simply by having your nostr nsec.
That would be fucking crazy and powerful! The entire world suddenly has instant communication and payment network!
Also, ideally there would be a simple way to view your balance and send to on-chain hodl with zero knowledge necessary of LN.
I have not done this yet but I realize that I am not a true nerd until I've compiled something from github via commandline, so I will try this, thanks!
