dev.nutstash.app already does. There is a draft for a NUT that will spec these for the Cashu ecosystem. Soon this should be pretty standard 🤙

What's the purpose of using animated QR?

Cashu token can get really big. If you were to put all that data in one code, you would have to use tiny tiny dots or a very large screen. Animated qr codes can improve readability, especially on older phones

We need a free and opensource QR Code reader that understands animated QR Codes for anything.

Hopefully it will catch on and get used for other things and ecash will just slide in undetected.

Large blobs of text that can't be conveyed practically in a single QR code. Multisignature transactions or wallet descriptors, for example.
