It just boggles my mind how someone can have such a stroke of genius--making a simple, fun, hackable protocol that is attractive to developers and technical users--and ruin it so quickly and completely.

I could never figure out why my posts on Nostr acted so strange. I never did the NIP-05 thing, so that may have factored in with some relays rejecting non-NIP-05'd messages.

Oh well, the protocol and client creators all seem to be in agreement that they want this "decentralized, censorship-resistant protocol" to be nothing more than a homogeneous bitcoin circlejerk.
