My new hobby is walking down my residential street where people drive too fast and crossing at every intersection just when a car is coming in order to force them to stop.

What should I call this? Aggressive crosswalking?

The weird thing about the way that Coracle manages relays is that it lets you join as many as you like, but it really can't maintain connections with more than 70 or so. Which of those relays it ends up posting to is a mystery.

On the Nostr git repository's readme it says that one of the problems with ActivityPub is that it gets noisy when there are a lot of servers, but my mastodon client only has to send my toots to my instance, while my Nostr client is trying to maintain webSocket connections with 800 different relays and all that network work is on my phone bill.

By all means, punch #Nazis, but if you try to punch every little squirt on the Internet who says zieg heil you're gonna be busy. Which is the joke they are trying to make of you.

"Dollar Cost Averaging" is just a pretentious way of saying "convert your fiat to Bitcoin".

Four months from now, I'm signing in to Feed, the newest Twitter replacement from Whole Foods. Posts are called "morsels". Neil Gaiman has an account, so it must be the one. I envy the dead.

The same people who are like "#web3 was supposed to be the #semanticWeb!" are like "#chatGPT is trained on public data!" and they can't see the irony. #AI #LLM #crypto #leopardsAteMyFace

The cascade in CSS is like inheritance in Object-Oriented programming.

It sounds like a good idea at first, but it often causes more problems than it solves.

Inheritance in OO leads to brittle hierarchies that are risky to change and hard to understand.

The CSS cascade leads to the same problems.

What do you call groups of people who must yuck other people's yum?

People who seem to form an opinion that's always contrary to the popular one and then use social media to get headpats for sharing it?

I've called these people #edgelords but UrbanDictionary says that carries a nihilistic connotation.

These people think of themselves as being virtuous.

Is it just #cancelculture?

Remember, the #earth has had several mass #extinction events: one caused by #algae, one caused by #trees, one caused by an #asteroid, and several caused by earth itself in the form of #volcanoes. Quit acting like earth and life are so precious and delicate, and that #humans are so alien and uniquely terrible. We are doing what #life has always done, and we can not end this planet. To think so is #egotistical and #anthropocentric.

I imagine it's easier being socially anxious if you aren't physically attractive. When you are people just assume you're mean.
