Haha very true. IMF strong armed him so he increased btc purchases in response. Seems like a smart plan to me. Fight battles you can win.

Forgotten Pearls: Max Stirner - The Unique And Its Property

Diving into the history of literature can be a journey that provides a lot of surprises and interesting discoveries. When I first tumbled upon Max Stirner years ago to me it was a shock!

The power of his language, the deep dives into his soul and his fight for liberty made clear why Friedrich Nietzsche, without admitting it, was inspired heavily by this author. I highly recommend Stirner's ''The Unique and its property'' and I can promise those who don't know about him a unique discovery... greets. T

"The Unique and Its Property" (originally "Der Einzige und sein Eigentum") is a philosophical work by Max Stirner, first published in 1844. Central to the book is the concept of the individual's absolute autonomy and the critique of all institutions, ideologies, and systems that seek to impose limitations on individual freedom.

Stirner argues that most social constructs, such as religion, state, and society, limit the individual by imposing fixed ideas or "spooks" (German: "Spuk"). These "spooks" are mere illusions that people become enslaved to, sacrificing their own desires and autonomy for these abstract concepts.

From a libertarian perspective, Stirner's emphasis on individual autonomy resonates strongly with the idea of personal freedom and resistance against external impositions. While he does not promote a particular political or economic system, his skepticism towards all forms of authority and collectivism can be seen as an argument for minimal government interference and individualist anarchism.

However, it's important to note that Stirner's egoism goes beyond just political libertarianism. He asserts that individuals should act based solely on their own interests and desires, without regard for morality, social conventions, or any external authorities.

In essence, "The Unique and Its Property" is a radical call for individuals to recognize and embrace their own uniqueness and autonomy, challenging the very foundations of established norms and institutions.

Anyone enjoy that beat down in the Oval Office yesterday?

Watch the whole 40min press conference if you have a chance.

It goes off the rails when Zelensky basically calls JD an idiot for saying trump is using diplomacy.

It’s clear Trump is putting immense pressure to get a rare earth deal signed immediately and zelensky is negotiating hard. nostr:note12qlavmv3e0ygkjdh63rcxutpmxtln2sk6dp40s6h8g8cyn8qnf7qczkmhk

‘Liberals’ debate who is more socialist in Canada.

I remember Madex gave one of his pieces to McCormack and he read this quote from the back.

Incredibly powerful. nostr:note1tsgf95gqk33an3zxtvl530c4a4a7f684t674escfdtts64lkc0vq0x930h

GM,

Over the last 48 hours, I have allowed myself the ''pleasure'' of analyzing the German media once again, which used to be my job for over 25 years. I don't need to report on this terrible and grotesque experience in detail, but everyone knows what has happened since 1968: the ultra-left has successfully completed its march through the institutions and into the media. Everything is infiltrated with the infantile and ethically disenchanted, radical left-wing and corrosive ideas that know only one target vector: bourgeois society!

Their immense success was reflected in the growth of the bureaucratic welfare state, which is a kind of front organization of left-wing parties and whose growth has only one goal: to bring as many people as possible under control in order to weaken the bourgeois forces striving for freedom and autonomy.

In their shrill triumphal procession, however, the left has made a crucial mistake. They have forgotten a perfectly valid point on their agenda, their founding myth of the industrial era, that of discusing the temporarily emerging poverty of the masses, which libertarians would fight with the means of the free market and personal responsibility. This has been the focus of their ideology and their political aspirations, it has been their natural political battlefield on which their were nearly unbeaten.

But success makes you sluggish. Physically and intellectually. In their sense of triumph and superiority, they have driven the wedges into society that we have come to know as gender politics, DEI, ESG or green rainbow Stalinism, thus discrediting themselves intellectually. The great awakening on the conservative side has begun and Donald Trump's administration is showing that it has understood what needs to be done now: they must begin the long march through the institutions, right into the media, just as their left-wing counterparts once successfully did. This will not happen without massive resistance, as we know from the 1970s and 1980s, but it will lead us in this direction and will certainly give us libertarians repeated opportunities to weave our points into the fabric of conservative politics.

We are facing a serious process of transformation, the resurgence of bourgeois values, the bourgeois family, and all of this is taking place against a backdrop of the highest levels of national debt and progressed implementation of the basic principles of a socialist economy, which has severely damaged the economic fabric of the West. All of this will be accompanied by the sudden bursting of left-wing green dream bubbles and the fall of the illusion of social security, provided by an overstretched welfare state. Millions chained into state subservience will see the narrative of the last 10 years, the man-made climate change, the pandemics that are supposed to sweep us away, senseless wars that are nothing more than money laundering and credit pumping, shatter before their eyes.

In these moments of emerging frictions, of breaking narratives and illusions, we libertarians must offer our civilizationally superior tools, transplant them into the zeitgeist to achieve at least a modicum of progress. Implementing the entire libertarian agenda is more than illusory in view of the behavior of the masses, who will grasp at any straw that promises them a sip from the milkshake of warming collectivism.

We must succeed in describing a path of evolution in our society, at the end of which social progress is also characterized as the emergence of individual dignity and independence as something that is more than just the acquisition of new purchasing power: it is the victory of personal dignity over the lowlands of the collectivist herd mentality.
