Rough Day, was running circles around the 20 year olds at pickup hoops at the gym this morning and heard a pop in my Achilles. Praying its not a complete tear and just a partial tear so I would not need surgery 🙏 #footstr . Weirdest injury I ever had. It felt like someone stepped on the back of my foot and I felt a pop but no one was behind me. Swelling but not a lot of pain. Anyone have an Achilles injury here before?

Already figuring out what I can continue to do at the gym if it is a complete tear. Shit like this does help you appreciate little things we do everyday like walking.

I've been looking for good coconut water since I've been back from Costa Rica. So far, the brands I've tried have sucked! They tasted like coconut. They did not taste like the delicious water directly from fresh Costa Rican coconuts. I needed my pipa fria!

I can now report that this Trader Joe's brand tastes and smells exactly like the pipa fria from Playa Hermosa in Uvita. It's amazing. Costs are roughly the same. In Costa Rica, one coconut at the beach would be 1000 colones. Here, this is $1.69. This has more liquid though. That's a good deal. 🤙🏻

Well, if style is character—and I believe it is—then obviously your sexual identity is going to show up in your style. I don't want to differentiate between style and sensibility, by the way. Again, your style is your sensibility. But this whole question of sexual identity is very tricky. If I were to read, cold, something by Anaïs Nin, I would probably say that it was written by a man trying to write as a woman. I feel the same way about Colette, and yet both those women are generally regarded as intensely “feminine” writers. I don't seem to recognize “feminine.” On the other hand, Victory seems to me a profoundly female novel. So does Nostromo, so does The Secret Agent.
