Another angle to also consider, I'm doing this, is to run a Bitcoin node on a cloud virtual machine.
I do this on vultr .com cloud provider.
On a $10 a month VM.
A pruned node.
With this, I don't have to keep my PC at home running at all times.
Plus, I can run some other apps 24/7 on my VM.
Ofc, with cloud I'm KYC-ed, but, so be it.
Pros and cons.
Which is police, military, courts of law.
Anything else should the government enforce with force, like governments do?
Hey everyone!
As my first deep dive into learning the Nostr protocol Iâm planning to build something I hope youâll love:
đȘș Hatchstr â a decentralized app for digital time-capsules that only unlock at specific Bitcoin block heights.
Imagine sending a message to your children, words of wisdom that unlock years later, or a bold Bitcoin price prediction sealed away until the future! đ°ïžâš
I wrote an article breaking down the concept, challenges, and how Nostr helps decentralize it. Iâd love your feedback! đ§Ą

Could be very useful.
The hard part, I guess, or we might call it a weak part, is that someone needs to know the decryption key.
Could we , in any way, use Bitcoin time locked transactions?
You may try reading Michael Singer or Peter Ralston books.
The key idea is to just observe your thoughts, don't label them, don't keep focusing on a thought, just acknowledge it and let it go.
Easier said than done, I know.
But I do think it helps me. When a thought arises, let it go and come back to the breath or focus on what you hear or see, or go back to what you are doing.
Looks somewhat similar to Peter Ralston's, Book of not knowing.
Lightning network.
Has the receiving address the lightning address defined?
No. You asked for documentaries about it and then you said "awesome, thanks". I was just wondering if this was a kind of endorsement. Because, let me say that I found some of your other content very interesting, inspiring, good to see even if shocking, and also, I would say, believable, at least upon my first few quick glances. But then, if it turned out that you believe the earth was flat, I would re-think how believable are other things you shared. Does that make sense?
Observe the thought, notice it, and let it go, do not continue focusing on this thought, just return to what you were doing, or your breath or body sensations or what you see or hear. Focus on this, not on the thought that your mind keeps coming back with.
Thanks a lot for the explanation.
Follow up question, if I may: when you exchange Bitcoin for Liquid, e.g., using Bolt Exchange, isn't it, from a tax perspective, selling Bitcoin?
Just trying to understand.
Can you please say more about liquid and cost basis? You mean the Liquid side chain and taxes? How is this helpful? Thanks.
It can't be known for sure
Also ofc depends on what is comfortably and where, cost of living
And on Bitcoin price in fiat and fiat inflation in the meantime
It may be that 1 BTC is 10 million dollars in 10 years, but that 10 million dollars will buy you as much stuff as 1 million only, today
I would like to know, too đ
mistral and deepseek
7B
runs on a laptop
even offline
even on windows if you wanted, use windows Linux subsystem
A thought experiment, I got it from Ayn Rand.
Let's say you are immortal.
You probably would not care about anything. Anything you may want to do, you could just as well do later.
Any game you play, you are guaranteed to win, at some point, given you have infinite time.
Would you then, value anything?
"Death makes values possible", I've read in the objectivism philosophy book and I think it is a valid point.
But of course, I'd love to live long, like anyone I guess.
And of course, working to extend life span, I think is great.
It's just that the true immortality, even if it was possible, which will probably never be anyway, probably would not be as fun as we'd think.
I ... think I largely agree.
Yes, while reality exists independently from our perception and thinking, I think, for sure, if we change, our way of seeing things, how we evaluate things, then, yes, how we feel, also changes.
And it may change for the better. And it will likely feel as if the world has changed.
So far so good. But then, there is a question, how to change? Change what to what exactly?
"Replace your bullshit with the better one", okay, but with what?
Open to thoughts and ideas. I have some, happy to discuss.
hello world!
