Every time I’m about to level up I feel this heavy resistance.

A voice in my head telling me I’m not ready. Sudden fatigue. Self doubt. A strong desire to quit.

In psychology this is called the Upper Limit Problem. It’s when your own mind tries to drag you back down the moment you start rising.

Your nervous system doesn’t care if you’re thriving it wants predictability.

So the moment you try to step into something better, it panics and causes you to self sabotage.

Most people feel it and turn around. They call it burnout, or doubt, or say it “just wasn’t meant to be.”

But that panic isn’t a stop sign. It’s a threshold.

It’s the final test before change.

If you can recognize it for what it is and move through it you’ll find yourself in a new place.

Everything you want is on the other side of fear.

Keep going.

New people don’t get much engagement because established users don’t follow new people so they leave. They feel like they are talking into the void (because they do). Even commenting on notes doesn’t get you that many followers.

This is why it’s so critical for Nostr to grow or it may very well die. Without new people, the number of users will shrink over time. You need relatively new folks to engage with other relatively new folks because they’re more likely to follow each other and stick around.

There is a possibility of building something extraordinary that could last for thousands of years, and could contribute to the liberation of human from the shackles of statism forever.

But you wanna feel safe according to false and pretentious societal standards, so you sell your labor to corporate oligarchs who use your talents to help design system of digital slavery from which you will never escape.
