I firmly believe there will be CBDCs on L2 especially on #lightning. You don't need a L2 scaling solution when zero confirmation transactions can be safer, cheaper, and just as fast as credit cards (depending on the internet speeds). Anyone can provide a service that offers incentives to those nodes to keep someone from trying a double spend in the mempool
Why use #lightning when you can just do it the way Satoshi talked about? #bitcoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=423.msg3819#msg3819
In the future that will be too many. What do you buy when you can 3D print everything you need? You can even print your own 3D printer. You might say well you have to buy the filaments. Or I can just buy one machine that makes the filaments from natural resources around me. Then I can just keep printing more of those. And that goes on and on and is only one example of how fast the demand to transact will go down. Especially now with the rapidly accelerating advancements in AI
What does lightning have to do with #bitcoin? We are talking scalability without lightning. I was saying #bitcoin can scale with the code it has today. That means without lightning. It can scale because demand for transactions will go down because of the deflationary nature of technology improving
Oh so you have discovered a way to create #bitcoin out of thin air? You know how to get more than 21 million? Please share your secrets. My node would love to hear how you plan on tricking it to accept your newly invented #bitcoin?
Bitcoin isn't just another bank-tied asset. It's independent, run by its users, not banks. They can not just create bitcoin out of thin air and loan it out. #bitcoin makes banks obsolete
Screw your rational logic. We are bashing commies /s
(I'm not new but has /s been universally accepted as sarcasm here yet?)

That's how I envision the future of #lightning
I feel like cloudflare has positioned themselves in a way that makes the pros outweigh the cons. Cons that they created ofcourse
Bitcoin's scalability has more to do with how our world evolves. As Bitcoin has a limited supply, its value tends to go up or remain stable, reducing the need for frequent transactions as the currency retains its value better than fiat.
At the same time, advancements like AI, 3D printing, and self-driving cars are making things cheaper and more efficient. This "technological deflation" means we might need to transact less often because things cost less to make and do. This naturally reduces the demand for transactions on the Bitcoin network.
So, even without major changes to Bitcoin's code, the network could scale just fine as societal needs shift. Rushing to change the fundamental aspects of Bitcoin could introduce risks without real benefits. It’s crucial to think carefully about any changes, making sure they're truly needed and widely supported to avoid splitting the community.
That's what I figured. It was pretty easy to tell what was going on about 2 years ago when the airlines announced budget cuts similar to the rail roads. Thats why I decided not to fly for the last 2 years. I was just getting real conspiratorial.
I am really just saying unions have historically used murder to get their way. Same as big companies. I just personally find it hard to believe Boeing can really think they can just kill people and no one say anything. The only thing I can think of if not the Union is their military contracts might be in jeopardy somewhere else down the supply chain.
I only say this because if they really are going back to the old ways of dealing with issues then we might be uncomfortably close to a #bitcoin standard.
Or here me out....the unions are the ones having people cut corners to weaken Boeing. Then they get some whistle blowers to make some claims. Then before anyone has a chance to really investigate these claims they end up dead. Maybe closing loose ends? I personally don't think Boeing has the balls to organize a hit but a union on the other hand...unions and mafias go back a long way. Also before labor day when workers were mad they would start killing
TLDR:I blame the education system for teaching people a flawed moral code
I've been thinking about this a bit lately. How do you convince someone with good intentions that they are wrong? Like people who don't think helping someone can be bad.
There is a fictional story about someone who met with Hitler in his office. He noticed a painting of a British soldier from WWI. He asked Hitler why he had that painting. Hitler told him when he was fighting in WWI his entire company was killed except him. He only survived because this man spared his life.
Incase I lost you I was trying to say that the British soldier thought being merciful and kind was a good thing and can never be bad. Its like trying to help trans people be accepted. How can it be so bad to help someone clearly suffering from something? How can it be so bad to want to help ease someone's suffering? They figure how can kindness and love be so bad?
Call me a conspiracy theorist but its interesting all of this is happening while their planes keep falling apart? I am guessing all those dead whistleblowers are in that union.....👀
