More or less, yeah. And at that level you’re left with ancap or agorist, if not pure anarchist - any of which takes more marshaling of personal responsibility than most would prefer, instead opting for society carrying them. Entropy is a bitch.

Anarchy is disentropic, both voluntaristic anarchy and violent anarchy.

💯!!! Calling out conflation of bitcoin’s ability to provide free market rails and people thinking their agreement to consensus means it’s suddenly belongs to them enough to tell others how to virtuously act with it while claiming any form anarchism.

To everything you said, i agree. Not state power, consensus power. Power being an overall incorrect term but I’ll roll with it. Many bitcoiners bitch about inscriptions on the bitcoin network ‘forcing me to store their data on my node’ all while within consensus rules they agreed to. Technically not ‘their network’ and their argument is purely narrative, but that is literally my point to their principles. Not to say all do, but a number do and it stands out.

True, but umbrel runs on separate OS using containers. StartOS is the OS (also free to downlod) and can run on any x86_64 machine, so you have better hardware than raspberrypi, which is not good for server and is more insecure. Any old computer with startOS will likely be better than raspberrypi with umbrel. I’ve run a decade old nuc and a raspberrypi side by side, no question raspberrypi is miserable with both startOS or umbrel.

StartOS on an older computer would be better than anything on a raspberrypi.

That’s why the ‘a’ or ‘s’ for singular/plural will stick around for the wealthy, might even see the ‘s’ on the singular instead of retaining the ‘a’:

.01 bitcoins = 1000000 sats

2 bitcoins = 200000000 sats

While everyone else uses bitcoin for singular and plural:

1 bitcoin = 1 sat

25000 bitcoin = 25000 sats

As much as I don’t like the sound of that, that is where the logic leads.

Perhaps the distinction will show between ‘one’ and ‘a’

1 bitcoin = 1 sat

A bitcoin = 100000000 sats

Language gets weird, sometimes.

Said it before, and I will say it again.

Language separated by wealth

Normal people will ‘have bitcoin’ and use it as the plural for sats (or w/e you want to call them)

A bitcoin or bitcoins, with the ‘A’ or ‘S’, will reference whole coin(s/ers) denoting wealth
