Building BDK. Forging Frostsnap.

Yesterday I thought I had liver damage because my skin looked so yellow. However, my irises were still white and I still feel healthy.

Reading up about this, turns out eating too much carrots can make your skin yellow too. I've been eating a lot of carrots.

For the time being, I'll be evicting carrots from my mempool.

A question I had in mind recently: why is consuming activated charcoal harmless, yet eating burnt food is obviously bad-tasting and discouraged as harmful to one's health?

Romans 12:6-8 NIV

[6] We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; [7] if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; [8] if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us." - Gandalf

How's it dumb? Bitcoin is seen as new tech. Oil is old news in comparison.

Good habits take time to form. Try your best but don't beat yourself up if you haven't met your ideal standards.

In that being said, I think it's easier to stay tidy when you have less stuff. Here's a nice heuristic to determine whether to keep object X: if X gets stained by dog poop, would I wash it or throw it away? If the answer is to throw it away, you don't need it 🀣

πŸ“’ BDK 1.00-alpha.4 is out the door! This bi-weekly alpha release fixes a chain module performance issue, revamps the KeychainTxOutIndex API to be safer, and moves the hardwaresigner module into it's own crate. We are getting very close to a beta. Be prepared. See the release notes for all the juicy details.

Are we creating a society that's too complicated?

I've started going down the tiling window manager + vim rabbit holes at the same time. Setting everything up is very time consuming and it took me 15min today to figure out how to take a screenshot. Hopefully it'll save me time in the long-term πŸ˜…πŸ€£
