FROSTR RELEASE!

https://frostr.org

So excited to announce we have signed releases for:

- Igloo: Frostr keyset manager and signer (Desktop App)

- Frost2x: Frostr Signer Extension (Browser Extension)

This is a secure & minimal setup for operating a 2/3 multisig for your NSEC

Please give it a try, be extremely cautious, and give us any feedback! nostr:npub1gg5uy8cpqx4u8wj9yvlpwm5ht757vudmrzn8y27lwunt5f2ytlusklulq3 nostr:npub1s9etjgzjglwlaxdhsveq0qksxyh6xpdpn8ajh69ruetrug957r3qpklxzl

Awesome thanks for doing that. We will implement for nostr:npub136hk9wu6xnrz64kfaapsvgc5rfnylz4djlx4w30w66h6cy48vhws3gth6q for listing transactions for accounting.

I just came across https://clams.tech/ via nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm Hub Apps listing...

1. Is the intent to essentially replace accounting tools such as Quickbooks and Xero or is Clams more of a TX tracker for 😱 tax reporting a la Koinly?

2. I see the import function for non-supported wallets...could that be fiat transactions too? (I'm looking for a private transaction keeping tool...a spreadsheet would work but isn't as fluid or UX wise ideal...think Xero, Wave, YNAB, Quickbooks)

Hey Jason, yes the intent is to eventually replace Quickbooks, but that is a big undertaking. In the meantime we are focusing on the Bitcoin side of things. You can currently generate a capital gains report which should help replacing Koinly etc. We plan on doing a quickbooks export in the short term so your Bitcoin txs can be easily imported in to Quickbooks.

We don’t currently explicitly support fiat transactions, but the import tool can be used to import fiat deposits and withdrawals to track balances (think fiat balance on an exchange). We may integrate Plaid for fiat bank account support, but not currently high on our list.

We may also evolve in to a private personal finance tracker like ynab as well. Many directions we could go in, so just focusing on the core logic and bitcoin first and listening to feedback and requests!

Wimberley TX is beautiful. A lot of nice small businesses and shops and the ricer is crystal clear. I was keen for a swim, but did not see anyone else in there, so decided against it 🤣

Salt Lick BBQ, Driftwood TX today

This is a big one, you can finally generate exports. The first one we have released is a capital gains report to give to your accountant for tax time.

What would you guys need from Clams to make it useful for Zeus? Anything you guys need accounting wise that you currently don’t have the time to solve? It would be great if we could save you all having to maintain your own accounting tools and allow you to focus on your products instead.

Nothing like having to open a new bank account to be reminded that Bitcoin is a 100x improvement for getting setup to send and receive payments.

Awesome! Apologies for breaking your db, we have been moving pretty fast with schema changes whilst in beta, but we are starting to settle on a good schema now. Let us know if you run in to any other issues or have feature requests.

There might have been an issue with a db migration across versions. I recommend resetting the app and starting fresh. You can do that from the settings menu by clicking the little wrench icon in the bottom right corner. Let me know if that fixes it on your Mac.

I have been playing around with the polars crate with folders of parquet files as our DB and it is a really cool way to go for some problems.

For the moment you could probably import via a csv file. We have been meaning to add a Strike connection though, and since they have an API it should be pretty straight forward. I’ll get it out in the next release for you 👍
