This is the main sticking point of trying to orange pill my wife. I don't know how to effectively change her decades long belief in the safety of fiat.
From her perspective, Bitcoins volatility in USD terms is risky.
Fortunately she trusts me. I'd like to ease her trepidations. But I think she'd rather trust me than know for herself.
How do you measure it?
If in the fixed money supply terms it has to be zero.
If in purchasing power, it might be positive, negative or zero.

I'm a little disappointed that I have to pay more for my Bitcoin DCA. I keep hoping it stays nice and cheap so I can get more.
I hope you're right. I think it's still a good idea to not assume that and think about other possible weaknesses.
Explosives are not the only way of interfering with the supply chain although I recognize that coinkite goes to great pains to identify and prevent any sort of shenanigans.
The example I was thinking of was a gov demanding that a large hardware wallet provider ship through them. Which is, I presume, what happened with the pagers.
Could this be executed as an attack vector on bitcoin hardware wallets?
What would be the defense against that?
