I enjoy Signal too but I absolutely hate that they tie a user to a phone number. And the Mobile shitcoin idea made Signal even worse even though I don't have to use it.

You need to have the TestFlight application on your mac. Then you should just be able to find Damus app in there somewhere and install it. Assuming you have access to the Damus testflight beta.
