Violinist and teacher, building a homestead on raw land in between lessons and concerts. Fascinated by how we can develop resilience in our lives, in our families, in our communities. I'm excited about freedom tech and circular economies, and am deeply grateful for the devs and advocates who are helping build tools for a better future.

ha! sorry, got it.

I had just answered someone else who said it was stupid to heat with wood (and seemed to be sincere, although I should take a second look 😬)

you would light up a wood stove for heat. Some of us rely on those for all of our heat and cooking.

What?! Why do you think it's stupid?

A wood stove is the ultimate in solar heat and self-reliance.

The best wood stoves have virtually no emissions, can be used to for cooking and hot water as well as heat. They're extremely efficient, and they run on a renewable resource that you can plant yourself.

If you want it for something more than just lists, Obsidian is great. You can create multiple links among the notes, which is amazing for applying ideas/themes from one subject matter to another.

I didn't know anything about his crypto stuff, but I find his insights into global patterns interesting and thought-provoking.

One thing that has changed dramatically for me in the last few years is that I no longer need to agree with someone on everything to learn from them in a particular area or even just appreciate their thinking.

Would be great to have this on a public platform (even just a quick note on your Substack).

Actually, a good lawyer with help of AI could probably do excellent work. Imagine being able to thoroughly search and evaluate the relevant case law for a particular issue, for instance. And get help with all the many layers and timing of paperwork.

But only AI... yikes.

I can't code either but I can scan a screenshot for 5 seconds before submitting it as evidence. Geez

So CW would be a pawn, and the reason the trial is going forward is to make some regulatory decision about bitcoin use in the UK? What would the mechanism be?
