Do wine and also use their filter thingy, its cool.

Also wss://relay.nostrati.com is good.

URL doesn't work in your post. Agree that Tanto is awesome.

I am looking forward to checking this out:

If you want a dedicated bitcoin machine I would suggest it not be the the one you take on trips!

Honestly this is a bit of personal preference so don't take a random persons advice here without doing your own research, but please do consider setting up your bitcoin machine as a dedicated device.

Cheapest way to go is slapping your favorite linix distro onto an old laptop.

If you have a larger budget consider things like

https://puri.sm/products/librem-14/

If your paranoid get into Qubes OS.

If you have $ and don't want to deal with hardware comparability https://shop.nitrokey.com/shop/product/nitropad-t430-119

But the only "right" answer is what you are most comfortable with, if its windows or apple that's fine, just learn to get rid of all the bloat ware and get into some privacy best practice's.

But please do not transit airports with the laptop you primarily use for bitcoin if at all possible.

Airports should only be used with burners (phones and laptop) if at all possible.

I hope this is real, I get that its probably expensive and niche, but it still looks like it could be super cool especially with XOR creativity. They started out with a no-ne air gapped phone controlling it and now are playing with seed signer. Hope they get on Nostr soon:

The SeedHammer machine hammering a plate. Solely controlled by an air gapped @seedsigner running SeedHammer software (will be public domain).

Nostr Zap surveillance tech: https://zaplife.lol

This is what happens when "convenience" not privacy is the default setting. Sure its a "choice we are all making" but damn.....

I run multiple nodes and hesitated to connect my nostr account to any of them because I didn't want this account associated to nodes I use IRL for real #Bitcoin. I guess I need to spin up another nostr only node now.

@NSmolenskiFan is the first dedicated "Fan" account I have seen on Nostr. It appears to have only started today (or yesterday maybe) and is spewing real #Bitcoin @NSmolenski fire.

I wonder if it started before or after the account runner listened to the new @Natalie pod episode? Either way we now have three Natalie's on team #Nostr #Bitcoin keeping #Plebchain strong.

My guess is anyone who knows enough to speak on this is smart enough not to talk about it (online at least). It's specific to ones own sovereign stack and lifestyle. However institutions and individuals who are already high profile in Bitcoin could probably present different scenarios so those who regard the high profile sources as somewhat trustworthy had some sovereign options to consider. BUT, people who put in the work to understand Bitcoin and hodling are going to see it without outside "Influencer's".

This is what happens when you go through global ams scroll like an idiot..... No delete on nostr.

#[4] has arrived, welcome!

2 years ago, I read up on QubesOS while considering what Linux distro to try out (zero experience with Linux prior to this). I realized I was not technical enough at the time to build myself due to hardware requirements, but I knew I could learn and committed to being reasonable and going slow. I ordered a custom built box with QubesOS installed. This guaranteed I could avoid the hardware compatibility issue and helped me feel more confident, so I tore it all down and built it back up and slowly learned. It was a rollercoaster some days but overall, because I had no expectations of it being my daily driver it was great. At the end of 2022 I was confident enough to leave the training wheels and go full sovereign I found it rewarding and think Qubes OS is excellent.
