October 2023, Harbor Springs, Michigan. Found these odd fungi clinging to a tree during a walk in the woods. They seemed hard as rock when I touched them.

#3GoodThings

1. Found homemade lemon scones in the freezer. They warmed up beautifully and paired amazingly well with my homemade strawberry jam.

2. Scones + jam made it on the menu for this afternoon's Zoom High Tea to celebrate a friend's birthday who lives 1000s of miles away.

3. Stinky dog got a bath. Now he smells like a flower, and he's not happy about it. (photo attached of sad dog)

1. Got a great parking place near the Ann Arbor Farmers Market. Loaded up on new potatoes, sweet corn, green beans, peaches, cherries, blueberries, and more.

2. Made a new recipe: Potato, Green Bean, Tomato Salad. I tried it and it’s delicious! Photo attached.

3. Went to the inaugural Webster Township Bluegrass Jamboree & Ice Cream Social. Music stage was a corncrib. Very country and a heck of a good time.

I am super OCD about my knives. I don't even use them to scoop stuff off the board because there is a small amount of anecdotal evidence that it could potentially be bad for the blades. Maybe. 😂

I just heard my knives shriek in terror. 😂

Right on with the plastic reduction. I try to use as little as possible, myself but there are some lines I won't cross.

At the risk of mansplaining, you ~really~ should get at least one nylon one. I got the ones I have at a restaurant supply store for dirt cheap, but I just ordered these because they have the no-slip corners and I wanted a smaller one.

My friend nostr:npub1ynnetv6xr5df9szyqfdqxhyh79ppjf7vdhddqc30ervn23unt2lq2gnjqd and I were discussing, and six is not an accurate number because I didn't count my wooden ones. It's actually eleven.
