Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a single sat in any exchange. But I might need to trade my BTC for some good or service before our society is under a Bitcoin standard. If the exchanges are shut, what should I do?

#nostr engagement really hits different to newcomers like myself.

I came here mostly to keep myself informed about my interests after X was banned in #Brazil and all of a sudden people are zapping sats for comments I posted.

Makes me feel like these comments were really valuable and motivates me to share whatever value I have to offer.

Not because of the value of the zaps, that are really symbolic, but because of the meaning behind the gesture of tipping a value offering.

I guess this note can count as an #introductions , since I still haven’t done that.

Recently I figured that any type of long periods of exercise improve my wellbeing a lot. It doesn’t even have to be super intensive.

One thing that always bugged me about #Bitcoin . What if governments shut the exits? Like, shut down exchanges. Is there anything that stops a government from a country doing that?

I figure if that happened Bitcoin would partially lose its function as a reserve of value, at least to people living in that country. It could still be used as medium of exchange, but that is still undeveloped in a lot of places.

I have a feeling I’m missing something important, but I still haven’t found out what it is. Any of you would be kind enough to share your thoughts or point me at a research material?

If at any point you’re interested in spirituality (not religion) take a look at David Hawkins lectures. He is a doctor that wrote a lot of stuff about human consciousness and spirituality. There are some stuff I don’t like about his work (some kinesiology stuff), but there are a lot of good insights there.

To me it helps to think that my son sometimes acts out because it’s the only thing he knows how to do atm. It helps me understand that it’s not that he is being an asshole, but rather that he is doing his best in the pursuit of his own happiness. My role is to patiently and gradually show him better ways.

This mentality also overflowed in my life towards other people who act out. It’s their best take in trying to live a happy life, so I try to not take it personally as best as I can.

Much like what happens with #Bitcoin , adoption grows as the need for it increases.

When someone sees their currency debased they fly to Bitcoin.

When someone sees their free speech rights taken (telegram, X in #Brazil , etc) they fly to #nostr .

The only way to stop Bitcoin is stopping money debasement ( #nothingstopsthistrain ).

The only way to stop Nostr is for governments all over the world to stop censorship.
