If you can’t clearly see your dogs ribs, you’re not stacking hard enough.

The nostr:npub19rfmr3xp4c0k7etv8tpdn0pwgu93yen79dgme2akv0j78zgr3sxqmmceus hat arrived! This thing is legit. Thank you nostr:npub103m96sra82w4agghew9cdxtzs4s8sl7qsjsvw6h653yml0gjrkzqefd3h5. Can’t wait to shoot 100+ in this thing! Unless you sprinkled some magic in it. #golfstr

8 TAKEAWAYS ⛳️

From the 2024 Masters

1. I am never betting against Scottie again in my life

I’m not a big gambler. Well, I wasn’t. Some foreshadowing.

I only bet on golf. And I never win. But it makes it more fun to watch.

Every dollar I’ve bet in the last two years, I’ve lost to Scottie.

And I want to cheer for him so bad but I’m always betting against him. Never again.

2. Aberg is a STUD

He’s the best driver of a golf ball I’ve seen in a long time.

And he can putt.

Great demeanour and very likeable.

He’s the next star in golf.

I also declare that I am going to bet on every single event this guy plays in for the rest of his career. I’m also going to track it all and share results.

So I said I wasn’t a big gambler. I’m now a medium gambler.

And I also said I’m never betting against Scottie. And I’m not. I’m going to be betting Aberg finishing Top 10s in every event.

3. Even though I’ve been a LIV supporter. Kind of.

I will say that the PGA showed up this week.

There were 4 LIV guys in the Top 12 but they never had a sniff all weekend.

The PGA took this one. Big time.

4. The best field

On that note, it’s so good to have all the best golfers in the world playing together. It makes the majors that much more special.

There’s also a new added element to each major - LIV vs PGA. It’s kind of like a Ryder Cup within a major.

5. Augusta is a dream

One of my top 3 bucket list items would be to watch The Masters and/or play Augusta.

It’s on a whole different planet.

6. Tiger killed it

The guy played more holes on Friday than he’d played all year.

He made the cut for the (24th?) straight appearance - adding another record to his resume.

It’s so good to see him healthy smiling and playing well again.

The golf media loves saying it’s past his time every time he struggles.

I still think he’s got another major win or two in him.

Never take watching one of his swings live for granted. He’s the best player that will ever play the game.

7. Vern’s last call

The man behind the famous golf phrases like “IN YOUR LIFE” and “YES SIR” called his last round today.

It’s so hard to hear them say their goodbyes. It’s like a piece of them dies.

We’re all going to have do it ourselves one day.

If we’re lucky.

8. #golfstr is growing

We had our biggest SATS pool ever this weekend with 17 entries.

The winner gets 255,000 sats for picking the best team.

And probably half the entrants were from nostr!

And we had a Sunday afternoon bet live on nostr. #[2] ended up beating the house and got 888 sats for her (heavily favoured) Scottie pick. Congrats Marie! 🏆

Its growing and it’s only going to get bigger.

That’s what she said.

The very first edition of 8 TAKEAWAYS.

If you enjoyed it, let me know. I’ll keep doing them.

If not, I have some material for the podcast on Wednesday nights!

Another great Masters

One year we’ll have a close finish again

Edition # 01

Great post. PGA and LIV need to figure out a way back in. The guys want it as much as we do. Cooler heads are prevailing. They just need to get it done. I'm guessing some time in '25 they merge back. Hopefully for a full season, but maybe it's just the announcement of the merger. Or maybe the announcement of the announcement.

Now that we're medium gamblers, what's next? Do we wait for Vahalla or do we try another pool for the Wells Fargo (next signature event) ? I'm down for the signature events, if we can round up enough people.

I thought I was the only person to regarded to understand it.

I seem to have more rhythm. Of course on the long putts I’ll send right off. 😂.

😲

Back when Tiger was at Stanford, to prepare for the Augusta, he practiced putting on the hardwood of the bball arena.

Which, really means, Tommy is about to go +5 and find every body of water imaginable.

I’ll take fleetwood, why not!

Nice work. Beautiful night too

Not exactly the friendly bot that greeted us all, last winter 😂
